Mob-involved Saddle River man who leaped to death from HUMC parking deck was wanted by federal authorities
A Saddle River man wanted on burglary charges jumped to his death from the Hackensack University Medical Center parking garage Wednesday, police said.
The U.S. Marshals Service issued a warrant for the arrest of Edward Cobb, 59, on Wednesday, Hackensack Police Capt. Timothy Lloyd said.
Cobb was treated in the emergency room and pronounced dead at 6:50 p.m., Lloyd said.
He's allegedly a member of the Genovese crime family and pleaded guilty to home invasions in Morris County and Orange County, N.Y., the Record reported. Cobb was scheduled to turn himself in Tuesday but failed to appear.
