Lol says the guy who still thinks Nicky Barnes was bigger than Frank Matthews. The Feds and undercovers that investigated both of those guys would get a giant kick out of such a suggestion.

You might wanna sit this one out, sport.
Okay video game player. Keep quoting a book and a documentary. You was'nt on the street when it was going down. You sat in a movie theater in the 2000s with your popcorn and crack pipe and convince yaself this movie was real life. Nicky Barnes lasted a decade. Matthews was on the street for a quick minute. Threatning carl gambino ha! Fuck tv and the un named undercover anonami sources. Toy cops spread those rumors.

You know what? You're a really funny guy.

JIGGS
Funny how?

Barnes coulda stayed on the street for 25 years and he still wouldn’t have touched the numbers Matthews did. Barnes was part of a group of dealers. He wasn’t any bigger than Guy Fisher or anyone else.

I don’t know if it’s true or not because the only person I’ve ever heard it from was from one of the people investigating Roy Demeo, but according to this former cop, Barnes borrowed money from DeMeo once. DeMeo was on the board at the Brooklyn Credit Union and was lending out money to legitimate and illegitimate people. One of the criminals he leant money to once was Barnes, who needed it to re-up.
I

I dont believe it. Not that it couldnt happen. I read that book by capeci and mustang and they say that roy had drug dealers from harlem coming to the credit union in brooklyn to wash there money. But he got spooked after realizing he was on the cops radar because a that soon after. The year demeo was washing money for dealers and walks away from it is the same year that barnes forms the council. I doubt he needed a loan and from all people roy demeo. Which cop said this?

I myself had wondered where all the cocaine and heroin went once it was imported/distributed in the Midwest during the Pizza Connection and afterwards. I was given a huge box of files and papers from an investigative reporter in Rockford and through his findings and interviews he learned that the narcotics were sold and distributed through the Black Gangster Disciples street gang in that area and their leader at the time was Karl "Shortdog" Fort who finally went away to prison around 1993 for 30 years for running a drug empire, murder, robberies, etc. Fort was the main man for street level heroin in Rockford in the late 80s until he went away and for a time apparently some of his men were protected by the police presumably through the Rockford LCN to protect their interests.

We’re t the best friends in Detroit pretty big in the 80s?

Also I agree with the fact that there was probably a ton of Chinese triads who made millions off heroin..

The Davis brother out of Detroit. They were actually named in the DEA top ten in 79(?). They supplied all the guys y’all have names out of Detroit in the timeframe. YBI and Best Friends organizations were their main customers. Supposedly they both spent a million a week with the Davis’s. Chamber brothers were originally from Pine Bluff, AR.

Oh on to the post..

Best Friends were the generation under YBI and Butch Jones I believe. Butch pretty much ran the Brewster Projects like the Carter in new jack.
Best Friends were also a big hits for hire group.

Now I thought the Chamberlain brothers were a cocaine/crack group??
Am I wrong??

And what about Eddie Jackson and the "Motown mafia"?? That's a documentary u see in a lot of the gas stations here.

What do you think about the "Philly Black Mafia"? They killed several Frank Matthews' underlings without ever being retaliated against. If Frank Matthews was that big as he is said to be, that group wasn't to be messed with either.

I don't really know much, there was a mention of them in the Frank Matthews documentary, that they killed several gangsters working for Matthews, and also there was an episode about them from the documentary series "American gangster"
https://vimeo.com/106876875

It said their leader was Sam Christian and his right-hand man was Ron Harvey, and they had links with the Nation of Islam movement (Harvey was later convicted for a massacre of the family of a religious leader who opposed the Nation of Islam leader).

There is also a book, although I have to read it yet:

Meech was big, but the Flores twins from Chicago are probably the biggest American dealers of the last 20 years. They worked for multiple cartels and eventually exclusively for El Chapo. They never even got caught but things were getting so hot they turned themselves in to the Feds and testified against El Chapo.

But these kids made hundreds of millions, if not billions. They were the number one point persons for the Siniloa Cartel in the US.

There’s an amazing article I’ve tried to find for a while about the Flores twins... it was about them and the dea setting up buy busts on a ton of the twins clients.. (these guys are getting supplied by el mayo and chapo yet they go down the chain and we’re literally busting people who owed them like 10k and we’re trying to get a couple keys$ .. then word got out that the Flores twins only set up customers they either didn’t like, owed them money, or just weren’t that big time, it later came out that when they were locked up they continued to keep their good clients and had someone on the outside continue selling for them.... shit is nuts. I don’t get how they didn’t get busted earlier .. I mean they were driving Bentley’s through little village and everyone knew them...
