Anyone recognize the names on that list? No specific mention of OC but this is the biggest sports betting bust we've seen out of Chicago in years. Rather rare at this point.

Unless any other evidence comes out, it almost proves how weak the Outfit is because these guys apparently had nothing to do with the Outfit. Guys operating independently.

I have a girlfriend who's been a pit boss as one of the local casinos for years and she does a lot of "side" work (meaning table games) for private parties, etc. There are at least two separate entities she works with. And a lot of those guys listed in that article are from my area, too. Not saying what she does has anything to do with this because I have no idea, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Frank Giudice (sans the "Del") was the middleman for the hush payments between Mickey Marcello and Nick Calabrese's family. He wasn't an Outfit guy, as far as I can tell.

Uncle Mick is definitely connected through the Outfit. He was very close with Artie Greco. Casey Urlacher is very close with Perry Mandera, former owner of crazy horse and VIPs, which were basically an employment center for Outfit guys. How much these guys were kicking up, I have no idea but I guarantee they were kicking up something.

I think Arthur Greco was a gambling operator and club owner who was also close to Lombardo and Sam Rosa or both the Grand Av and Elmwood Park crews. The connection does make sense

This was clearly a priority for whatever reason in that they were investigating the operation for about two years.
