This was a great read, like all of the other articles on your site, and I can't wait to see the rest. Holy fuck did I laugh my ass off at the snippets of the emails Amato sent to his girlfriend. How he thrived in prison "and anywhere I go" LOL

When in prison that is part of the showing a positive attitude approach. Some inmates will moan and complain and act depressed or are depressed when girlfriends or family don't visit or write back right away. It's a front, no one thrives in prison. It's like Vinny Bascaino smiling in photo's when he's locked up 23 hours a day, reassuring friends that he is fine and doing well. It might be the only way some guys get through it.

I don't doubt that Amato knew how to carry himself in prison, I just find it hilarious that he's boasting about being a MAN'S MAN to this chick who doesn't want anything to do with him and already blocked his # lol.
