Chris Christie wrote: Another thing about the Piccolos. According to Leonetti, after Monte was murdered the position was vacant until a few months after Scarfo got home, he then chose his uncle Nick (whom he hated according to Leonetti) and later in in *I think* 1986 or 87 or 88 he officially replaced him with Tony Buck. But Leonetti was not "in" on that, so he most likely got the information second hand, either by reading or talking to an FBI agenet.
When Scarfo was trying to rally for support in becoming boss, he spoke to capo Santo Idone who told him he would back him only if he (Scarfo) agreed to get along better with his uncles. I believe Scarfo eventually making Nick Piccolo consigliere was him honoring his word despite his "hatred". I don't know where the problem originated between Scarfo and the Piccolos, but it may coincide somehow with Scarfo going under Skinny DiTullio's wing. I'm under the impression that he got along with Tony Piccolo better than the uncles, but not sure.

Great job finishing up the chart. Maybe the best one I've seen you do, at least as far as design goes.

I should also add that this also conflicts with Leonetti's earlier testimony. He originally claimed that Nick Piccolo was promoted to Consiglieri in June 1982 at the home of the father of Associate Robert "Toro" Lucicero's uncle in Vineland, NJ. This was during the making ceremony of Nick "The Blade" Virgilio and Tony "Meats" Ferrante. He also originally claimed that Tony Piccolo was promoted to Acting Consiglieri in 1986 due to Nicky Bucks declining health.

Tony Piccolo was definitely promoted when Tommy DelGiorno was still a captain, so it would have had to be 1986. He testified that he went to a meeting with Scarfo, who informed him that he was promoting Piccolo to consigliere (doesn't specify acting or not). At the time Tony Piccolo was a soldier in DelGiorno's crew.

It is interesting how much turnover there was in Philly from Bruno's murder in 1980 until the time of this chart in 1982. You had at least 10 made members die, 7 of which were murdered (including the entire administration and 2 Capos). The family also made 24 new members in less than two years. Before the year was out the new Consiglieri would also be murdered and the family made another 2 members. By the end of 1982 the family was almost unrecognizable from what it was just two years earlier.

One thing, that isn't John Parisi but is actually Edward Parisi on the chart. I believe Edward is another cousin of the Scarfos.

There is an old photo somewhere of Scarfo Jr. at dinner with Chaz Iannece and another guy, and I'm pretty sure the other guy is John Parisi but I'm not 100%. Not sure if anyone still has the photo.

I'll take Parisi's photo off for now. I can add it later. Thanks, I'll add Pedulla to the Riccobene faction.

It's interesting how alot of Riccobene's former guys all ended up under Stanfa: Martines, Esposito, Colletti. I wonder if Stanfa was associated with them in the 70's or met them through Martines in the 90's. After the Riccobene's were arrested, martines and another guy tried to run it which is why they were shot up.

I don't think Stanfa was close to any of Riccobene's people, but there is a chance he knew some of them as a lot of these guys knew each other at least in passing. My guess is that he hooked up with one or two of them and then they recruited the others.

Question about the Piccolo years. Apart from Licata in Jersey, were there any recognized captains on the street under Piccolo? If no one knows of any that would coincide with Leonetti's narration that it was essentially Anthony Piccolo and Scarfo Jr trying to collect a street tax, as many members were arrested except for a few Bruno era leftoevers who's median age was about 89. So that would make sense unless someone has anything additional. Jersey's another story.

In Philly-South Jersey there weren't any Capos. Santo Idone was Capo of his crew in Chester during the early part of Piccolo's reign but he was imprisoned in 1989.

Wouldn't be a surprise if Bocchino, Pungitore, or Sparacio had some kind of acting duty but there is zero info to back that. I know that when Stanfa came back, Sparacio wanted to make Piccolo the boss, himself the underboss, and Stanfa the consigliere, but Stanfa wasn't having any of it. Whether Sparacio was talking like that as a soldier or what, I don't know.

While we're talking about this period, George Fresolone talks about a hit team from Philly heading up to North Jersey to kill Scarfo Jr., but they got intercepted by LE on the way. If that really happened, I would like to know who it was... if it was any of the well-known guys close to Merlino you would think we would have heard this talked about more.

He means Anthony Pungitore Sr. He was imprisoned in 1991 just as Stanfa took over or was about to take over.
