Re: Is Pittsburgh alive?
Who cares what law enforcement says? The pigs who aren't on the take are 5 years behind the action.
Glick told author Nicholas Pileggi that he expected to meet a banker-type individual, but instead, he found Alvin Baron to be a gruff, tough-talking cigar-chomping Teamster who greeted him with, “What the fuck do you want?”

Do you just say stupid things to get attention or does your brain malfunction on a regular basis?Grouchy Sinatra wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 10:56 pm Who cares what law enforcement says? The pigs who aren't on the take are 5 years behind the action.

How is what he is saying stupid? It’s very possible. Look at Youngstown in the 90’s or in buffalo with that sea agent just recently. The smaller cities can have law enforcement corruption, it’s certainly possible. But wait let me guess what your gonna say? “That was a one time thing”. Well guess what, your father knocking up your mother was a one time thing and yet here you areWiseguy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 11:27 pmDo you just say stupid things to get attention or does your brain malfunction on a regular basis?Grouchy Sinatra wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 10:56 pm Who cares what law enforcement says? Re: Is Pittsburgh alive?
Moscone is right to an extent. Just because there is not indictments does not mean there isn’t action going on.

Did you even read the recent posts on the thread? We were talking about associate estimates, which nobody is going to have a better idea of than law enforcement.Moscone65How is what he is saying stupid? It’s very possible. Then Grouchy comes along and makes some stupid, blanket statement that has more to do with his liberal hate for law enforcement than any actual insight into the topic at hand.
And then here you come not knowing up from down, as usual.
Gambling action? Or action involving an LCN family?
I've said it a million times. Indictments are one of the best signs of the activity of a family, especially over the long term. It's why we saw a lot of mob cases in New York and none in Denver.
That link you posted above is a good example of where some get confused. The case involved some associates, as well as relatives, of past associates. But this isn't a sign there's still a family in Pittsburgh. There's only a single member left there and what weve seen in that city and others is residual activity by remnants of families no longer in existence.

Re: Is Pittsburgh alive?
You can’t compare the amount of indictments to any level near New York. There are so many more guys in nyc it makes sense to have tons more indictments. Tbh, the amount of indictments in New York isn’t even that much considering how many members there are there
Re: Is Pittsburgh alive?
You can look at the areas where the FBI still recognizes a family in New Jersey, New England, Philadelphia, and Chicago and you'll see there have been significantly more cases there over the past 20 years than in cities like Cleveland, Tampa, Kansas City, or Los Angeles. That's not just a coincidence.Moscone65 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 10:36 am You can’t compare the amount of indictments to any level near New York. People on these forums have been trying to explain away the significance of indictments for years now. It can't be done. Time has shown that to be the case.

Re: Is Pittsburgh alive?
That’s the case on the east coast, not so much for Chicago. Why that is, I’ll leave up to you.

Wiseguy flagged down an active police officer on the street today and verified his information through him, so just concede your arguments now.

Re: Is Pittsburgh alive?
There have been plenty of Chicago indictments over the last 20 years.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.
Re: Is Pittsburgh alive?
Eh idk if I’d say plenty... in comparison to what, Pittsburgh? Sure
