Also, almost without exception, ALL the potential and or current leaders have large scale narcotics capabilities, you HAVE to see that.....

Independent clan? Or under Barberio, under " the Sicilians"? He's not retired, right?Lupara wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 3:28 amHis cousin Alessandro Sucapane took over De Vito's crew.CabriniGreen wrote:Davide Barberio is apparently DeVitos successor......

It remains debatable whether these so called clans are really independent or just crews part of one organization. Up until the mid 2000s it definitely was one organization.CabriniGreen wrote:Independent clan? Or under Barberio, under " the Sicilians"? De Vito was rebellious, but after Rizzuto's group won the war after Vito's return Sucapane seemed to have fallen in line, which is why he is still alive.

I thought it very specific when Renaud refers to what I believe to be the " Bonnanos", as the Calabrian cell, and the Violis not as the Todaro family, or " the Canadian wing of the Buffalo cosa nostra" or something like that, but rather " the Violi clan of Ontario". I actually believe that's the more accurate description.Lupara wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 5:04 amIt remains debatable whether these so called clans are really independent or just crews part of one organization. What do you guys think of this, Pietro D'Adamo, or the Oliveri- Lopez people?
Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Montreal Mafia status - Post Rizzuto Era
The Bonannos were more than just the Calabrian cell even though most of these Bonanno members sided with Montagna, including the Arcuris, who, although from Cattolica Eraclea, were closer to the old Cotroni faction both in recent times as well as historically.CabriniGreen wrote:I thought it very specific when Renaud refers to what I believe to be the " Bonnanos", as the Calabrian cell, and the Violis not as the Todaro family, or " the Canadian wing of the Buffalo cosa nostra" or something like that, but rather " the Violi clan of Ontario". There is no such thing as a Violi clan. They are part of La Cosa Nostra. This has been proven without dispute.

The thing is, they seemed to have been powers in the Canadian underworld long before they were made ....
And I'm saying " they", but we only have confirmation Domenico was made, or no?

Domenico, Rocco & Natale. It's also more than likely Giuseppe was made before he was arrested.CabriniGreen wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 6:55 am The thing is, they seemed to have been powers in the Canadian underworld long before they were made ....

Violi = Luppino and vice versa
