I was joking about Scarfo and Vic. Neither one can probably tie there shoe without help let alone run a crime family.

I believe Capeci is right a lot of the time. I also believe he has an agenda. With Matty coming up to figure out his situation I wouldn't be surprised if he was used by the G to tickle the wire sorta speak like EB says. I find that much more plausible than Amuso is calling my shots. Power base is in uptown. Not in Brooklyn.

As for Merlino the Skins wire basically says he was. But he does things bosses wouldn't normally do. TMZ. Looking for a book deal reputably. On the cover of a Philly paper or something about his new restaraunt that he's the host of? But if I were to guess he would have to be boss in some capacity unless something has changed since those wiretaps.

I missed a lot here. Anyway for the record I don't give a fuck what the feds say is true or not true. They twist facts for their own benefit. I understand that some guys here fully abide by what the fbi puts out there and thats fine if thats where you want to put your faith but I don't. I wouldn't presume to tell anyone to believe me and not them. I hear some shit and I share it every once in a while, make of it what you will. I come to this forum for fun in my spare time and don't have time nor the inclination to argue with the guys who take this all to seriously. I stand by the positions Ive taken in the past even if the so called evidence points to the contrary for example I believe Nicky Corozzzo was the acting boss/boss from 2005 to whenever it was he went back in. Also NJ admin I put out a while back prior to the stango bust (majuri/nigro/labarbera) but I did find out later that labarbera was only acting for frank damato and he (labarbera) was the captain mentioned in the indictment (dogs captain) I forget what nickname they used for him. The feds indicted nigro as consig but Im told its wrong. I did not have stango as one of the 7 captains I believe they have, Im still not sure what to make of that. Then we have the Lucchese family I have Crea as the boss whether he's official or not he's the top guy not doing life and matty is his righthand man/underboss/streetboss....just like capeci said. These are things I believe to be true and if I can't discuss my beliefs on the forum then what the fuck is this place for?

What's the big difference if people want to believe opinions or fbi findings.... This is America everyone should be entitled to whatever they want to believe! Like if it's this big of a deal then just move what's the sense in arguing over and over about this

To discuss your beliefs...lol. On a serious note, I totally understand Pogo and wiseguys point of view. There has just been way too many fakes trying to act like street guys on these types of forums. But Johnny_Scootch and Rocco are right also, if we can't voice our beliefs and opinions (especially on the unknown) then this place will die and become the next AM forum. Both sides are needed for it all to work.......Soliai

I am perfectly cool with someone saying what they heard, even if it's just gossip. I think this place is too small to try to discourage people from posting most things. I also don't think we should discourage anyone from questioning the credibility of gossip or otherwise asking for more info/proof. If it starts to become another "I'm connected and you aren't!" situation it should be nipped in the bud right away, though. Same thing goes for these huge argument chains... nip those in the bud before they start, too. This board can't afford to have that kind of bitterness.

For the record, I think preventing discussion is the last thing Pogo or I want to do. I think we both just wonder how much evidence it takes for people to be convinced of something. Or how many times they need to be shown to be wrong before finally starting to give legit sources the credit they deserve. Pogo is absolutely right about it being a slippery slope. If people's theories, whims, hunches, gut feelings, speculation, and internet gossip aren't kept in check by credible public sources like the feds and OC experts, this forum really will be the next AM forum. We may have cut down on the number of bullshitters on these forums - they know they can't get away with it as easy as they used to - but there are still A LOT of gullible posters who will believe almost anything. Don't believe me, read the BB forum sometime. My 2 cents.

I understand varying opinions to varying evidence but I don't get the whole well I think so and so was the boss when there has been nothing that has said that person was. People can discuss whatever but a fanboy crush doesn't make a boss and to argue it does seems pointless but it's a free county
