I wonder about him. I think the name was changed slightly for the show. The guy he is based on is listed as made but I don't for a second believe he was. Plus that show is very off on reality. If Maxie does have anything on him it would be good to see, but I don't think anything serious is out there on him

The last episode brought in DB and the Gotti guys plus The Horse and his top porn guys have been in it and loosely accurate. Pretty good show IMO with decent mob stuff from a different angle

100% on , I’m unfortunately too young (34 years old) to have experienced that era of the city. However, I have experienced the last standing live nude girl peep show though , the one on 8th ave between 42nd and 43rd. They hand you a paper towel and lube as soon as u walk in no lie lol!

I thought totally different, the mob guys were portrayed wrong, especially Gotti, as he was seen by the outer wiseguys They make like he was not respected, in fact looked down on. The scene where the Michael Rispoli ( The biggest scum bag of all Hollywood actors by the way) is talking to his guy and saying shit abut Gotti was off. Only one thing was real in that scene. He is talking to his guy putting down drugs, not knowing his guy is dealing them on the side. That went on a lot back then. The guy who is his main man has a mustache, something they did not wear in the mob. Small point, I know, but it throws me off.
Also the only good and honest cop all 3 seasons is the Black cop. So instead of Serpico, we have Serpi- Bro.

Rudy complaining about Paul and tax going up to 15% from 10%, the rumors about sex with maid in house, that the borgata was fractured and it likoinf Gotti crew being a bunch of animals ( no brains ) and into junk . I thought the director did pretty good as all fairly accurate IMo. Also Horse being a player and his porn right hand man Hodas who was real and now DB trafficking in kiddie porn.
Also portraying the dilemma of a made man in the 80s, a lot of guys were starving but drugs were where the $ was , hence bosses / capos were losing control

Yes, you’ll see in that post that I believe he is related to Anthony Vellucci - aka “Tony Miserable” as you mentioned. Lol...... a drug guy. If you google his name and search a bit, I think you can probably pull up a narcotics case he was involved in.

By the the time mayor gugliani took over he put a legal muzzle on all the shit that was going on down there. The peep shows were done. Jimmy Calo (a made guy under Tony Baker who died very young) he lived in Queens I think. Originally came out of Harlem. Had a brother Louis who everybody called “Louie Montclair”, also a Street guy but never “straightened out” like his brother.
James Calo (born in 1922) was a Gambino member, possibly a skipper or acting skipper in the 1970s. Crew affiliation like you said, Tony Napolitano or possibly Frank Rizzo. Calo died of cancer in August 1976.
