Sharpton was accused by a lot of people close to Sonny Carson of having ratted on Carson. He was caught cold on a video doing a drug deal with an undercover FBI agent, and was never even arrested after. He ratted primarily on other activists and they tried to turn him into a good guy when it came out on an HBO documentary, which was I believe the first time the drug deal attempt was aired.

If you remember twenty five + years back when Sharpton was marching in Brooklyn during one of his black protest marches, the kid Joe (Babe) Serrano jumped out from the crowd and stuck right in his chest with a blade..... obviously Sharpton survived (Serrano didn’t catch him right), but they tried to kill him!

He did not stab Sharpton, he is the guy accused in the other case where Hawkins was killed. Sharpton was stabbed on the sidewalk as he was standing and talking by a young guy who had just moved to the area where the protests were.
