Fairly accurate, I would say more 10-20 because Jackie isnt terribly old and they have a young capo or 2, and Joe D'Anna and his brother are nothing to be fucked with. They just seem content to die out because they refuse to make anyone new.

The brothers are sicilian and related to Salvatore D’Anna who is supposedly a boss in Sicily and their uncle was capo Anthony “Tony Cars” D’Anna who was heavily involved with auto theft and insurance fraud but they were close to the Tocco's, not really Zerilli. I live in Michigan and you can still lay down bets or loan money in various eateries, cafe's, tanning salons, etc - which are owned by extended family members of deceased figures. Sports betting is very popular around Detroit. The Pistons, Redwings and Lions have had rather chaotic win/loss streaks for decades and with die hard fans that has to be a huge money maker.

Here's what I've been told and heard so far in 2019

-Tony Ruggirello is consigliere now, in title only.

-Joe D'Anna continues to make power moves. Gobbling up more drug territory to make up for lost rackets. Both D'Anna brothers are pushing a lot of H.

Jackie has been extorting legal marijuana growers and has his kid "Little Vito." running grow houses.

The Corrados are all deep into the drug business (coke, pills, weed).

The Rugiero brothers (both in their 50s) are taking over Joey Jacks crew. and are moving a lot of blow.

From what I've seen personally and been told it seems the D'Anna's & Rugiero bros. are the future of the family.

And here I was reading the DEA National Drug Threat Assessment and Michigan High Intensity Trafficking Area reports (both of which have nary a peep about LCN drug trafficking in Detroit) like a schmuck. Who knew these guys were so deep into the drug trade?

As I've said several times, Detroit is at best a grey area because of conflicting info and comments over the past 20 years.

But the idea that they are significantly involved in drug trafficking is ludicrous. Other than Vito Parisi (a former associate of Detroit LCN turncoat Nove Tocco) being charged with manufacturing and delivering marijuana in 2013, can anyone even think of another mob drug case in Detroit over the past 20 years? Amazing how these guys fly under the radar.
