Vena’s crew

Re: Vena’s crew
It describes C1 as an "associate."
Re: Vena’s crew
I wonder if the Outfit in general or parts of it ever were aware of the CI's. Or did they not know until that report came out. Don't know if true, but wasn't it written that Marcello and Lombardo were suspicious of why DiFronzo was not Indicted. Then with the Joe Fosco reports of DiFronzo being an informants, that became a more to the front common thought to followers of Outfit news.

Yes, I saw that C1 said "Member" and C2 said "Associate". Not sure if it was to be taken literally as we do on this Forum? I took it to mean they were both supposedly top level guys in the Outfit since as we know that the "made guy" thing in Chicago is very ambiguous to say the least. However, I could be wrong and maybe it should be taken literally which would then disqualify DiFronzo from being C2. Have no idea.

That is what I also wondered. It almost seemed like the Defense Team was trying to give a message to some people. Either that or they were trying to downplay what the Two CI's had said about Sarno. It kind of reminded me about Richard Cain being a Confidential Informant and in return, he basically got a free pass to pursue his own selfish needs on the street. Maybe that type of scenario is what the Defense Team was suggesting to help defend Mike Sarno?

Re: Vena’s crew
It’s quite possible he leaked it , the feds used that Info to obtain search warrants probaly backerground round info , that document was sealed at first so i don’t think would of been public , they asked the attorney to not reveal redacted information . So maybe your right and they leaked itConfederate wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 10:55 amThat is what I also wondered. It almost seemed like the Defense Team was trying to give a message to some people. The feds had solid case on sarno because of the wire taps

Re: Vena’s crew
Do we take literally the term upper echelon member as only administration or including capos or others in supervisory positions. Even people like their driver's or other aids. That opens it up to alot of possible people.
Re: Vena’s crew
DiFronzo as CI is a good guess in a certain sense. But counterpoint is maybe his pulling away or possible suspending Elmwood Park crew was in response to his thinking there must be a CI. Remember Marcello saying something like the North no longer wants to eat at the same table as the South. Maybe he was protecting his crew and was sure CI was from the South territories. No basis just speculating.
Re: Vena’s crew
When I say suspending his crew I'm referring to what others claim. Today I see charts from the last 20 years that indicate a Grand Ave and Elmwood Park crew. Is there any evidence that Elmwood Park was shut down in some capacity by DiFronzo. Wasn't Mags put on the shelf because he was an alcoholic and drug addict.

Oh ciuccio, its good to see you are back on your diet.nowandlater wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 9:24 amBravo Friend! That almost sounds like what I was told by the older men when I was a teenager. They said in life you will find there are only two type of men who will eat pussy. The one who says he does and the one who says he does not. Re: Vena’s crew
I would think that since it is a government memo referencing "member" and "associate" that they are taking it literally.
Re: Vena’s crew
could be anyone I know a few people who firmly believe it was him but let me see some tangible proof, I am sure in 30-40 years someone will figure it out if they can get some of the info the CI providedFrank wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 12:38 pm DiFronzo as CI is a good guess in a certain sense. Re: Vena’s crew
If DiFronzo was a rat then why wasn’t he called to testify at the family secrets trials?
Wise men listen and laugh, while fools talk.
Re: Vena’s crew
They’re saying he was a dry snitch. Somebody who tips off law enforcement throughout their career without their identity ever being named. Greg Scarpa is an example of this, he was an informer for 30 years and enjoyed a career with no jail time. Peter Lovaglio was one for a while I believe, Frank Sparaco was another, and Dennis Guzzardo too.slimshady_007 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 7:20 am If DiFronzo was a rat then why wasn’t he called to testify at the family secrets trials?
