I hope you enjoy the vacation. If it's your first time here you may be disappointed at the real New York vs the television version of the city. I hope you enjoy the vacation though.

Regarding Gioeli, the write-up is about 70% done, I'm just figuring out how to write about his long and painful pre-trial wait. Once I get back from New York I'll put my head down and get it finished because sifting through his legal complaints and medical issues is too tedious for me to want to do while I'm on vacation.

Visited Polito Pizza (owned by Genovese associate and alleged murderer Carmelo Polito) and it was closed despite Google Maps saying it was open. Oh well... settling for some Albanian pizza instead.

He was acquitted in a retrial, the guy did time for a murder he never committed. Same for his co defendant, who sued and won money after getting out.
Polito's pizza is run by Mexicans or South Americans for about 5 years now. You were near Queens New York so called Gaza Strip on Stienway Street, did you soak up some of the cultural diversity? There' no closing for easter on that block. Google apps were unreliable today, I got screwed too, I went to 2 places that were open according to google maps but closed for Easter when I arrived.
