he didn't admit to anything in the allocution as far as if he was made or not , just that he was part of the enterprise known as the Genovese crime family 2001-2017 goes for sentencing july 19th

I’m still shocked at the 3.8 Million dollar loss. It has got to hurt The Family going forward. I can only assume membership was and still is irate.
Re: Son of mob boss Vincent Gigante enters surprise guilty plea
Yes, alot of money he lost. I wonder if he has the money to pay it back. You would think the Chin had left alot of money to his wife and kids. It's always hard to put a dollar amount that these gangsters are worth. I wonder if he has to pay it back, or he will be whacked. When I think of the Genoveses, I think that 3.8 mil. is not alot of money, campared to what's coming in, but I don't know.NothingNew44 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2019 8:37 am I’m still shocked at the 3.8 Million dollar loss. Maybe LE came down in years for a plea and he took it. 30 months minus I believe 3 to 4 months in jail before bail minus about 5 months good behavior and then time in halfway house leaves about a year and a half.newera_212 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 9:41 pmits very surprising. i know a couple people very close to the case (take that as you will, i know second hand type info and conjecture on here is taken with grains of salt for good reason) and up until a few days ago the plan was to take it to trial. hes never been convicted of a crime, felt the case was bullshit, and was planning on going to trial. he had his lawyers prepping for a real trial up until now.stubbs wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 3:37 pmRight! I’d be surprised if he would’ve taken it to trial. A plea? Not surprising.Hailbritain wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2019 7:35 pm And this is why the Genovese family have had the fewest informants . They’ve mastered the art of the plea deal
its surprising to think of a genovese member going to trial, but this was different. he was approaching it from the position of not being a genovese member at all.
also its rumored that those around-the-clock guards he had to pay out the ass for stopped showing up for duty yet he still was footing the bill. they really wanted to bleed this guy

But in the Pogo chart on genovese making ceremonies Vincent Esposito was made in the 1990s but in the genovese chart arent listed as soldier. Why?
Re: Son of mob boss Vincent Gigante enters surprise guilty plea
In the chart he's listed under imprisoned members. It's pretty safe to assume he's made when you take into consideration everything the FBI found in his townhouse.crazyjoegallo wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 3:21 am But in the Pogo chart on genovese making ceremonies Vincent Esposito was made in the 1990s but in the genovese chart arent listed as soldier. Gotta be made to be in charge of a Genovese slush fund...then again who said it was a slush fund? The FBI? Who is to say it wasnt his personal stash?eboli wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 3:32 amIn the chart he's listed under imprisoned members. Yeah, the FBI claims he had a 4 mil slush fund in his 12 mil townhouse alongside two illegal guns and brass knuckles for cracking some skulls.Fughedaboutit wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 4:22 pmGotta be made to be in charge of a Genovese slush fund...then again who said it was a slush fund? The prosecutor claimed they also found a Genovese infamnia list in his possessions too.

Conversations he had with another member, indicating he was in charge of money. But yes I guess it is possible that LE has it wrong, and it isn't the slush fund money, but his own or his personal families money. Maybe the slush fund money is located somewhere else.Fughedaboutit wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 4:22 pmGotta be made to be in charge of a Genovese slush fund...then again who said it was a slush fund? Whether its Genovese money or not the fact that he has membership lists should make him a dead ringer for being made.

I’m still surprised somebody of his background, pedigree and family/Family connections would keep such things at his home. I find it rather foolish, and quite unbecoming. Maybe perhaps the expectations we place on him as Chins kid were a bit too high.
Re: Son of mob boss Vincent Gigante enters surprise guilty plea
My guess is he probably wasn't expecting his nephew to rat him out, resulting in his house being searched. They can't exactly keep all of their cash in banks without attracting too much attention so he probably assumed it would be safe in his house. He has (had) a clean record after all, which is something that most mobsters can't say, so he was as good a candidate as any for storing the cash.

AH Okay so he discussed the money on a recorded conversation, that is different. If they just found the money without it, they could say anything.Frank wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 5:01 pmConversations he had with another member, indicating he was in charge of money.
