Is the guy with the earring at 1:03 Gaeton Lucibello?

Pretty sure the guy standing behind the "You're my idol" kid at 1:33 is Joe Ligambi.

At :20 it's Anthony Staino, Ray Wagner, and Joey Merlino. Wagner is standing by Merlino again in the social club around 2:30.

Around 1:00 it's Steve Frangipane, then Marty Angelina.

When the kid tells him he's his idol, it's Ligambi and Accardo to the left, and Mike Virgilio on the right in the glasses. Accardo is also near Merlino when he's handing out turkeys.

Looks like Frank Gambino talking to Merlino at 3:12.

One thing I love about the 90s Philly footage is it's like an advertisement for Champs Sports and Foot Locker circa 1996. All of those starter jackets, old snapback hats, colorful sportswear, etc. There is an old surveillance photo of Roger Vella where he's in a matching Charlotte Hornets cap and jacket that reminds me of growing up in those years, when people just wore whatever damn sports team's merch because it looked cool.

Gulino was rocking that look in the early 90's too.

I'm about to buy a Braves Starter jacket like that Bulls one in the picture, I remember asking my old man for one when I was about 12 or 13 and kicked me dead in the back in front of the whole mall
If I didn't have my case coming up, I would like to come back with you gentlemen when this is over with and really lay the law down what is going on in this country.....

I had a black SF Giants jacket in that style as a kid. Never gave a fuck about the Giants but I felt slick in that jacket.

People gave way less of a fuck about hometown team loyalty then. "Michael Jordan and the Bulls are the best thing in the world? I'm buying an entire Bulls outfit. I like teams who win."

Or... "I can wear a Miami Dolphins cap and a San Jose Sharks jacket that goes down to my knees and walk around looking like a goddamned peacock everywhere I go? Sign me up."

Broads always wore the Charlotte Hornets jackets.
I had NY Mets , NY GIANTS, and Rutgers Starter jackets with the matching hats. Wish my Mom didn’t throw out all my Starter stuff when I moved out of the house, I would start rocking it again in 2019....

The Raiders are moving here soon, so I should probably get some of their merch.

for some reason I would feel like a total dork wearing Golden Knights stuff

Got you covered. LA Raiders merch will go over better than Oakland merch... Los/Las, what's the difference. A little more sweat and sun and you won't be able to read this sucker anyway.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

My man!

Apparently there's a hockey game tonight because everyone at Barcode Burger had on their Golden Knights crap. I don't own any Knights merch and I don't expect to.

There's an entire Wikipedia page about the Raiders thing, weirdly enough.

Hockey is like baseball for me where I love the rules of the game and the way it's played, but I can only watch for a bit before I'm ready for the game to be over. Can't get into basketball at all and I don't like the players. I can watch football all day, even a slow defensive game like the last SB.

It's too bad the Raiders weren't one of the teams to move back to LA. I'm from Seattle and can't stand the Rams on principle... wasn't fun to root for the Patriots this year but I took them over the Rams. My Dad said, and I quote the text message, that he was rooting for the Patriots in the SB because "they think whitey can still play NFL football." I'm sure Pogo would approve.

All of this reminds me of when Mafioso was alive and posted the letter he sent to Borgesi where they talked about how the Eagles were doing. Ten years ago if we saw that "selfie" someone posted of Faffy Iannarella decked out in Eagles gear at one of their games nobody could have wrapped their brain around it.

Haha, thanks man. She is 17-and-a-half and never grew beyond the size of a large kitten, a real sweetheart.

All right I missed this letter. Is there a copy/transcript of it available anywhere?

I can't imagine why anyone in their right mind would want to have anything to do with George Borgesi, and I'm saying this as someone who considered writing a letter to Scarfo.

Was it the Starter jackets that had the hoods and big kangaroo pocket above the hand warmer or was it the regular button up like the the Bulls one posted in this thread? We had a Magic one when they had Penny and Shaq

In my neighborhood in Jersey at my time (I’m 34) it was the ones with the Kangaroo pouch were cooler. My GIANTS one was the other style. Starter made great hats, I still buy them from time to time online when I come across one.
