Coming back to run the gang? Small potatoes compared to previous Philly mob bosses.

Big Lou Jumps Into Homecoming Festivities With Fellow Philly Mob Hombres

North Jersey-based Philadelphia mafia soldier Louis (Big Lou) Fazzini joined the syndicate’s collective coming home party last week, released from a three year federal prison stint for racketeering offenses related to bookmaking and loansharking. Fazzini, 48, pled guilty to the charges in 2012 and served his time in a New York correctional facility. He was indicted alongside the crime family’s then-acting boss, current consigliere Joseph (Uncle Joe) Ligambi and his mentor on the streets and the Philly mob’s longstanding New Jersey capo, Joseph (Joe Scoops) Licata. Joining Big Lou in the freebird department last week was the Family’s fearless and fan-friendly don, Joseph (Skinny Joey) Merlino, released from a Miami federal prison the day before Fazzini after serving just under four months behind bars on a parole violation. One-time Philly LCN administrator and current soldier Gaeton Lucibello got out back in town in February after pleading guilty to racketeering charges in the same case that ensnared Ligambi, Licata and Fazzini and doing a three and a half year sentence.

Lucibello is the one I'll be paying attention to the most. He has been a constant since the 90's and is well-liked, only seeming to step up when needed. His nephew is also Wagner who has become Joey Merlino's constant companion.

That's a great one. You can recognize his face even at that small size. I saw one other black and white photo of him jockeying.

Funny to think how some of the Philly bosses got their starts...

Angelo Bruno - grocery store clerk
Nicky Scarfo - bartender
John Stanfa - bricklayer
Ralph Natale - bartender
Joey Merlino - jockey
Joe Ligambi (acting) - bartender

Anyone know how Testa got his start?
