I'm making up a reference list that gives the place of birth of Outfit member and important Italian associates, along with the places of birth of their parents (or grandparents - whichever was born in Italy). In this list there are sometimes two places of birth for their parent/ancestor: the first is the father's side and the second the mother's. This is what I started with so far. Albert Tocco was born in Chicago Heights. His father Michaelangelo Tocco/Iocco was born in Chicago to a family from Campobasso province, Molise. His mother Laura Storto was born in Pittsburgh to Italian parents. I wasn't able to confirm her ancestry, but based on the surname she was also most likely from the area of Molise/Abruzzo.

Dominick Palermo was born in Chicago. His father was Eugenio Palermo from San Fili, Cosenza, Calabria. His mother was Rose/Ida Colantonio, born in Italy, though I haven't been able to confirm where (the surname is most common in Abruzzo and Lazio).

Constant George Tuffanelli was born in Chicago to Gaetano Tuffanelli from Ferrara, Emilia-Romagna and Julia Gobet, born in Chicago to parents from Italy and Switzerland.

The Guzzinos, Castellis/Costellos, and Zerantes were from Caccamo.

Salvatore DiGiovanni and his brothers Giuseppe Jr and Nicola were born in Palazzo Adriano. I believe that Nick DeJohn was the son of their paternal uncle Giovanni DiGiovanni.

Francesco Liparota aka Frank LaPorte was born in Lamezia Terme, Catanzaro, Calabria.

Domenico Ruberto was born in Lamezia Terme, Catanzaro, Calabria.

Vinzenzo Ammirato/Ammariti aka Jim Emery was born in Cosenza, Calabria. It's possible that his father's family was originally from Salerno province, Campania, though that's not confirmed.

The Gruttadauras were from Villarossa, Enna.

Gaetano Morgano and Antonino Pinelli were from Calascibetta.

Bernard Morgano was born in Gary, IN to Gaetano Morgano and Janie Vasile, who was born in South Suburban Cook County (Lamont) to parents from Bivona, Agrigento.

Frank Zizzo Jr was born in Chicago to Francesco Zizzo Sr from Porticello, Palermo and Ninfa Mignosa from neighboring Santa Flavia, Palermo (both in the area of Bagheria). Frank's son Anthony Zizzo was born in Chicago, to mother Margie Maucione, born in Chicago to parents with ancestry from Campania and Laurenzana, Potenza, Basilicata (including the surname Fanelli).

Romeo Nappi was born in Chicago to Felice Nappi from Napoli and Assunta Iorri from Prezza, L'Aquila, Abruzzo (she was Tony Iorii's sister).

Armando Antonio Fosco Sr was born in Chicago to Michele Fosco and Annamaria Rossi/Russo of Pizzone, Isernia, Molise. He later married Gloria Nappi, Romeo Nappi's sister.

Francesco Maritote was from Brusciano, Napoli.

Mauro Giovanni Montana was from Acerra, Napoli.

William Daddono Sr was born in Chicago to Antonio Daddono/Daddona from Pontelandolfo, Benevento, Campania and Grazia Maria Capozziello from Faeto, Foggia, Puglia.

Joseph Glielmi/Glimco was born in Salerno. His US naturalization petition declared his original name to have been Giuseppe Primavera.

Louis Eboli was born in Melrose Park to Tommaso Eboli and Anna Ariola, both from Scisciano, Napoli.

Joseph Anthony Ferriola was born in Chicago to Nicola Ferraiola/Ferraioli and Elisa Sabatina/Alice Sebastian Giglio of Nocera Inferiore, Salerno. His father's name is of course why Ferriola was called "Joe Nick" or "Joe Nagal" (Napulitan' pronunciation of Nicola).

Carmine/Carmen Peter Bastone was born in Chicago to Pietro Bastone and Concetta Ricchio of Castrolibero, Cosenza, Calabria. While his younger brother Salvatore was also born in Chicago, elder brother Angelo was born in Castrolibero.

Dominic Cortina was born in Chicago to Giuseppe Domenico Cortina and Anna Mariani of Ripi, Frosinone, Lazio.

Donald John Angelini was born in Chicago to Filippo Angelini of Ascoli Piceno province, Marche and Margaret Toolis, born in Chicago to parents from Ireland. Given that Angelini was a made guy, this is a big deal. Maybe the Outfit was unaware that he was only half Ital.

Guido/Gaetano/Guy DeChiaro/DeChiara was born in Acerra, Napoli. He married Grazia Maria Ariola, sister of Salvatore and Anna Ariola and thus Guy DeChiaro was Louis Eboli's uncle by marriage.

Gudio DeChiaro I believe was close with Ricca in Naples and one of his main guys throughout his career. Tommy Ryan married the sister of his wife - he had a lot of juice right up until he didn't and they took his rackets away by force.

Never mind, I found it. His parents were Salvatore Aloisio and Maria Serritella, both from Muro Lucano, Potenza Province.

Correct. What’s interesting is that his mother was a Serritella from Muro Lucano. The more famous Serritellas in Chicago were “Richies” from Ricigliano, Salerno. Muro Lucano and Ricigliano are neighboring comuni, so I think there’s a strong possibility the two families are connected at some level (haven’t seen proof of any direct link, though). Being that Ricigliano and Muro Lucano are politically in distinct regions (Campania and Basilicata), it may not be obvious how close they are. In these cases it makes sense to think about a broader network of communities spanning the regional border around Salerno and Potenza provinces. There were many Chicago members from this area and my understanding is that the zone around Ricigliano had a significant Camorra presence during the old days.
