An alternate way is to go to https://www.cbc.ca/player/news/canada/m ... 20montreal and then scroll down to the second video, “Organized crime” (13:09).OcSleeper wrote:Is anyone else having trouble watching that video Anti shared above? I've been trying to watch it for like the past hour and it just keeps freezing on me 30 seconds in. I don't think it's a connection issue on my end though.

Andrea Scoppa killed federal election day 2019. Davide Barbiero survives an attempt on his life the day after federal election day 2021

Re: Montreal Mafia status - Post Rizzuto Era
Just double checking, he's still alive right? The other articles say he survived but the journal de montreal title translation for me says he was shot dead.

The situation of organized crime in Montreal is definitely very unstable. With the shootout series these days it looks like someone wants to redistribute the roles ...

Was and when did Ponytail ever be a “leader of the Montreal Mafia” over or at equal stature to Vito Rizzuto? I always assumed he was a former Rizzuto loyalists who became disgruntled because things were supported while he was in prison that he felt was entitled to him and his family and essentially siding with the opposition, when he broke off.
But these articles are getting confusing lately, lol with everything going on. The Gazette article is the first time hearing De Vito was THE leader of the Montreal Mafia.

I think De Vito became captain over Paolo Gervasi’s crew when he was killed.SirWalnuts89 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 1:29 am Was and when did Ponytail ever be a “leader of the Montreal Mafia” over or at equal stature to Vito Rizzuto? A captain of a Mafia crew, yet is said to be actually a member of ‘Ndrangheta and not LCN or Sicilian Families still in Italy? “According to information that came out in court in Project Clemenza, Barberio used to work under Giuseppe De Vito, the influential Montreal Mafia leader who was poisoned by cyanide on July 8, 2013, while he was serving time in a federal penitentiary.”
