Re: Buffalo/Ontario Mob Acitivity
Appreciate you connecting some of these dots as always, NC. Glad some new leads have come out of the Bongiovanni case.
Thanks to Pogo, we know government witness Joseph LaNovara was made in Rochester in 1972 and he named an unidentified college professor as a made member who attended the ceremony. This was shortly after Rochester tried to break away from the Buffalo family, so the professor's membership may have dated back to the Buffalo family. Either way shows a precedent in WNY for teachers getting made.
Nino Giuffre in Sicily was an agriculture teacher in Caccamo when he got made and quickly climbed the ranks to become a capomandamento meeting with Bernardo Provenzano and Toto Riina. Seems like the traditional mafia was willing to include all kinds of professions.

Re: Buffalo/Ontario Mob Acitivity
I think in this article Joey Violi indicates about taking over Hamilton with the bikers.
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/ ... d-a-mafia/
Turns out that there is a very interesting connection to this being a Motorcycle Shop in the east end of Hamilton, called Poole’s on Parkdale. One brother Vince, seems to be an HA, his brother Chris is an OPP cop.
Vince Poole was arrested last summer for a cocaine distribution network.
https://www.chch.com/guns-cash-and-1m-w ... on-police/
How can a Cop and HA be in the same family, and the cops don’t know? Or are they in on the selling of drugs, prostitution of all kind, collections and murder?
I know that Tony Iavarone was close with Martin Robert HA in Quebec. Anyone know if there is any truth to the above working together to set up and remove the Violis, while trying to kill the Musitanos.
Having a cop in your family while your moving blow, girls/boys whatever has to an advantage, right??

I tagged Paul Manning in a tweet reply to a Twitter user who had some fondness for Johnny Papalia and some disdain for Pat Musitano, and Manning came through:

Buffalo sanctioned.
Papalia’s aware.
Johnnys right hand man (opened the door for Murdock) was involved.
Johnnys right hand man met with Tony Musitano at his laundromat in the following couple of days.

That’s why I’m pretty sure this stuff against Musitano is not about old beef, it’s about current stuff with gambling turf and real estate/construction. If they wanted revenge they would have gotten it in 2007/2008.antimafia wrote: ↑Sat Jul 11, 2020 8:53 am I tagged Paul Manning in a tweet reply to a Twitter user who had some fondness for Johnny Papalia and some disdain for Pat Musitano, and Manning came through:

Re: Buffalo/Ontario Mob Acitivity
They were, probably still is a huge West Coast, Agrigento region Sicilian community in Hamilton.
The Racalmutese community was on the Railway Street with Papalia, and were some of the original founders of the Italo Community. It’s basically a stone throw from where Libertina and Nicolo Rizzuto are from. It might know something or not.
If people don’t know, now at least it should be considered lol

Racalmuto is a twin sister city with Hamilton under the United Nations in New York City.

Ya the social club is one of the remaining cornerstones of the Italian community in the old neighborhood. Via racalmutoSantoClaus wrote: ↑Sat Jul 11, 2020 11:06 am They were, probably still is a huge West Coast, Agrigento region Sicilian community in Hamilton.
