Looks like Victor Cannarozzo Jr. died last September. Don't know if that was announced on the forum before.

Just read this on another forums, I’m sorry if it’s been already discussed.
Ex Cop from Hamilton..retweets about a Mob Associate giving info to the RCMP Detective in Stoney Creek.
Implies it occur in 2016 and that the Cop sold the information other within OC...lots has happened since

Second Tweet...claims it is a Hamilton informer.

Re: Buffalo/Ontario Mob Acitivity
Thank you for sharing that. We have many examples of Rochester figures being identified as Bonanno members (accurate or not), so makes me wonder if there was originally an effort to bring both Rochester and Buffalo figures into the Bonanno fold, only for it to fall apart with Cammilleri and resulted only in Rochester falling under the Bonannos (whether official or unofficial doesn't matter).NickleCity wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 9:26 amDon't know if anyone has heard this theory before, but Ron Fino says something interesting about the Bonanno's, Buffalo and Rochester in an interview he did on Gangland wire. In the 21:20-22:20 minute mark he indicates his Father (Joe) had "stupidly" gone along with Cammilleri who wanted to align with Joe Bonanno who was trying to make moves in WNY. He, also, suggests Frank Valenti and Renee Piccarreto had joined his Dad and Cammilleri in this plan, but Cammileri's murder put an end to it and what Bonanno was trying to do. Here is the link to the interview: https://ganglandwire.com/ron-fino-mr-undercover/B. wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 1:36 pm Rochester is a strange example because it appears they were never recognized as an official family. Even if the Bonannos did officially recognize them (where does that info come from, by the way?), that isn't the same as the Commission or other NYC leaders recognizing them. During that period, the Bonannos didn't have a seat on the Commission and we know the Commission was arbitrating issues in Buffalo and Cleveland. Rochester would have required recognition from the Commission to be a family, which to the best of our knowledge they didn't receive.
I didn't notice it before, but he wrote something similar in his book.
“John Cammilleri had to go. It wasn't only over his wanting a position in the labor union, this stupid Capo wanted to split the family. Together with Frankie Valenti (of Rochester) they made an arrangement to leave their connection with the Genovese Family and join up with the Bonnano Family, who always desired the Western New York region.” (After Magaddino's death, Buffalo did not have a direct seat on the Commission and reported instead to the Genovese Family). “Ronnie, as I am sure you know, John Cammilleri, Frank Valenti, Rene Piccarreto (the Rochester consigliere) and the Bonnano’s could never get permission from the Commission and Joe Bonnano and his kid are sick in the head and everyone knows it.” Pieri continued, “It was me that prevented your father's murder. I interceded on your father's behalf, and told the family that with Cammilleri out of the way, Joe Fino would be unable to act and cease to be a threat.
I don't see where Fino would have reason to lie about any of that, yet it doesn't sound entirely right either. I would guess he's referring to a real situation but may not have gotten all of the details right. It's worth bringing into the conversation either way.

Re: Buffalo/Ontario Mob Acitivity
Homeland Security Investigations has arrested another drug trafficker in Buffalo.
According to the article above Bella was convicted of felony cocaine possession and destruction of evidence in Florida around 2011.
Additionally, he appears to have been part of a collections scheme that ran from 2010-2013. Looks like Bella has registered several companies at this 224 Summer St. address.

Here is the article: https://buffalonews.com/2020/04/24/earl ... n-charges/At about 5 a.m. Thursday, a tactical team of federal and city law enforcement officers raided a house tucked behind Summer Street in the Elmwood Village as a helicopter hovered overhead. The officers were executing a search warrant for drugs.
Inside they found Joseph Bella, 47, of Buffalo, who was charged with possessing with intent to distribute cocaine; maintaining a drug involved premises; possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime; and being both a felon and an unlawful user of a controlled substance in possession of a firearm.
Investigators say they believe Bella has been involved in distributing illegal drugs in the Buffalo area for at least the past four years.

So is there a list knocking about of current members?
Re: RE: Re: Buffalo/Ontario Mob Acitivity
Wiseguy just reported a deceased member so that means there are now 29 left with probably 20 or so members still operating below the radar. Todaro runs a tight ship.thesociety 89 wrote:So is there a list knocking about of current members?

Re: Buffalo/Ontario Mob Acitivity
Looks like Donald "Turtle" Panepinto/78 might still be alive.
Two possible members are Nicodemo Bruzzese/69 and Dominic Vaccaro/73. In a September 1990 article they were IDed as “Made Members of a Hamilton-based Mafia family that reports to Buffalo organized crime figures.” Not sure if that means they were Bufflo members or not. Their names don't appear on the 1997 chart but then neither did Leonard Falzone because he was in prison. They might have been in prison in 1997 but I'm not sure on that.
Subtracting the dead members from the 1997 chart we get 19 members left in 2006. The 2006 chart listed 22 members. One of the 3 unkowns was IDed as FNU Brindisi which brings us to 20 members. The other 2 slots could be Bruzzese and D. Vaccaro or it could be Rocco & Natle Luppino.

What an age difference in members, Violi being 52, after he gets out of jail, how old will he be?
If it’s lengthy, the rest of the members may succumb to old age. There are no younger members?

Carfana and Scolieri are not mentioned as made members in the articles covering their indictment.
