GOTTI wanted to be albert a. gravano was just pure greed inspired .. vito corleone, was not someone these two modeled themselves after..but i do agree with your point on gotti having a lasting affect.
You got that right. Gotti was no Vito Corleone. He was more like Sonny Corleone.
Gravano was a greedy, treacherous bastard who would convince Gotti to kill somebody so he could then take over that guy's racket.
For all of Gotti's faults as a Boss, (which were numerous), You have to admit that the guy had balls made of steel.
Carlo Gambino was Vito Corleone.
So, are LCN families thransporting cocaine into US with Calabrians now? I found there a 2014 indictment in the case associates from NY families are working alone with Calabrians, is this always happening or Ndrangheta in ny have their own branch and dealing alone?

What's the total number of made guys from all ~30 families who have flipped combined? A friend wants to know.
Here is what I have. These are just the ones who publically flipped or were outted. There were of course many more in each family who were secretly providing info.
Philly- 18
Bonanno – 16
Lucchese – 16
Colombo – 15
Gambino – 14
Genovese – 8
New England – 7
Rochester - 6
Los Angeles - 5
Chicago – 4?
DeCavalcante – 3
San Jose – 3
Buffalo - 2
Kansas City - 1
Milwaukee - 1
Pittsburgh -1
Tampa – 1
St. Louis - 1
Detroit – 1?
So well over a 100. Enough to start a 6th family.
Pogo
It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

There's only been a handful to date but I have yet to see an 'Ndrangheta case in the US that hasn't been tied to one of the NY families.
