What's the general consensus about the book "Breakshot" by Kenny Gallo? Mostly bullshit? He was just on an hour long episode of
Locked Up Abroad". He made some interesting statements about the LA family which I didn't even know existed.

It's worth a read. Kenji has an ego and can be a smartass (at least he was on the old forum) but he has good info about the LA family circa 1990s and the Colombos later on when he was in New York. Also covers parts of the drug trade, porn industry, etc. back in the day.

It draws too much heat from the government, and people who get ripped off won't hesitate to run to the FBI.

Is it known who exactly or presumably George Borgesi could have killed? I read where Tommy Scafidi said that George turned on the music and on his fingers showed 11 corpses on his account. And I think Tommy Scafidi said that George wanted to shoot the waitress during the shooting at Joe Chang Jr. If my memory serves me right, most of the murders in the era of Stanfa, the shooters were supposedly Steve Mazzone, Angelina and Lucibello, but I didn't see much about Borgesi.

Borgesi has never been explicitly identified as the shooter in any hits. He has however been implicated, either as an on-the-scene participant or a conspirator, in the murders of:

- James Diaddorio (as the driver)
- Roger Vella (involved in moving the body)
- William Veasey
- Anthony Turra
- Ronald Turchi

He was also a backup shooter in the attempted hit on Joseph Ciancaglini Jr and, though he has never been explicitly identified in connection with any others, is a strong contender as a participant in other attempts carried out by the Merlino faction during the war with Stanfa (e.g., the expressway shooting, the two occasions where Tommy Scafidi was shot at, etc.)

Some murders he could potentially have been involved in due to his status as a high-ranking member of Merlino's inner circle:

- Louis DeLuca
- Felix Bocchino
- Nicasio Zagone (if it was carried out by the Merlino faction)
- Michael Brennan
- Michael Avicolli
- Joseph Sodano (if he was involved in this, it would only be as a conspirator as he was definitely not on the scene)
- Guerino Marconi

It also wasn't Scafidi who claimed Borgesi took the credit for 11 murders, it was Lou Monacello

Hi guys

I saw an article the other day that claimed Bill Bufalino was made in Detroit - is there any evidence of that? He was married to a Meli, so it could have been through that relation?

Many thanks

That's an outdated rule from way back. Obviously the mob was big into stock fraud from the 1990s into the 2000s.

Thank you very much for the explanation. I heard that the murder of Rocco Maniscalco has something to do with the Borghesi team, is that true? Something like a street tax...

Is Stephen Andretta still active? Are he and Gabriel Briguglio are the only people left who could be linked to the Hoffa hit (I think there might be some ancient Detroit guys too)?

I have a question about drug trafficking, that is, how the sale and organization takes place. I am sure that selling shoals or ziplocks on the corner is not the level of the mafia. Although, the Galione team was engaged in the crack trade in Dyker Heights on this principle. For example. take Palmaccio and Puji Festa, they are known for being one of the major drug dealers and high-level or Vinnie Basciano crew. Do you have information about how the sale takes place or approximate schemes? Where I live, in fact, drug trafficking has long been carried out with anonymous caches and through messengers, rarely through "hands-money", so I don't quite understand the principle of drug trafficking in the mafia

If we're talking present-day New York, LCN drug involvement seems to be mostly at the mid-level, i.e. multi-kilo and pound distributors. To a lesser extent above or below. While there are members involved, including high level ones, even today most of it is done at the associate level. At least associates make up the most of those indicted in mob narcotics cases. They're simply going to sell to distributors further down the line, including independent dealers in bars, clubs, etc. The NY families traffic most in marijuana and prescription drugs. You also see frequent cases involving cocaine but not the same volume.
All roads lead to New York.

Does anyone know if Angelo Tuminaro was an associate or a member of the Lucchese family? I also believe that he disappeared after his drug case with his nephews Patsy & Tony Fuca and the French Scalgia & Jehan, did he get killed or did he go on the run ?

What happens to a crew’s rackets after it’s been disbanded? It it split up between its former members or it gets taken over by another crew or another family if nobody claims it?

Both Angelo and Frank Tuminaro were LCN members. The FBI identified them as Lucchese soldiers. Disappear after what case? If you're talking about the 1960 case - they found him in Florida at a dog track.
