We should also be skeptical of every other source, including testifying witnesses like Red Wemette and Nick Calabrese, and law enforcement agencies such as the FBI that depend on informants for their information. We test them by finding documents like this that can either corroborate or discredit what they say. Just like what Snakes did here.

Agreed. And he's definitely a great source.

I will say one thing does stick out to me, in one of his later videos with Fosco he went into great length about the death of illegal gambling and bookies because of the internet. Said there's hardly any action anymore. As we saw, that's not the case. Again, I think he has motive to push that to cover for people he's known all his life.

I agree with this statement 100%. It's one reason why it's been difficult to form a concensus about Chicago and why there are so many arguments about different aspects of this Family.

Some Chicago experts on here feel the Chicago FBI office did some editorializing over the years (i.e. Accardo as consigliere, just one example), whereas I'm more agnostic about some of those details. I defer to the FBI's information whenever possible but the FBI is inconsistent too at times and it's evident in FBI reports from the 1960s well into the 1980s that they struggled to map out a cohesive picture of the Family's inner-workings. Even a member CW like Nick Calabrese had a limited view.

I'm grateful for the original researchers we have here for mapping out some of the connections and relationships between modern Chicago figures, as it makes for interesting thought even if it's not conclusive. Their work is honest, well-researched, and open-minded.

Andriacchi: one of the few, truly low key guys (along with Tornabene). Luck certainly played a part, but there are other reasons why these guys never served serious time.
