Re: 5 Family's Making Ceremonies
Here's the file. it says that the informant is a local bookmaker and as we can see he isn't that knowledgeable, so definitely need a better source to confirm.

Re: 5 Family's Making Ceremonies
In the VladTV interview they're doing to promote their upcoming book, Mike Campi and Dan Dorsky talk about how they have a recording of Salvatore Aparo saying he was inducted at the same ceremony as Vincent Gigante. Gigante didn't like Aparo because the member who proposed Aparo slapped Gigante's f...

Re: The Castellammarese War
Wonder if the going to mattress sentence came out of this war & not the Banana war in the 60s. I also imagine how was life like in the neighborhoods during this war? Was it all out warfare or were the shootings mostly carried out in specific areas in NYC? Also, the Reina/Lucchese family was bor...

Re: General Mob Questions
Anyone have a DOB and DOD on Genovese soldier Arthur Roccomonte? I believe that he was born Alfonso Roccamonte 1913/08/04 in NYC to Fiore Roccamonte and Nicoletta (maiden name possibly Manzo), of the comuni of Campagna and Polla in Salerno province, Campania. If I’m correct, then he died 1994/03/14...

Re: Complete lists of pre-1931 bosses of all NY families?
While I think it's likely that Mumbrao was Mineo, it can't be established with any certainty. We don't know if he meant someone else. After all, Manfredi Mineo went by Al according to Joe Valachi, but Mumbrao's first name was Salvatore. Mineo, according to a source, ordered the killing of Carmelo P...

Re: Complete lists of pre-1931 bosses of all NY families?
I don't think Gaetano LoMonte was a boss, just a cousin of Fortunato and a probable member. A division after Lupo went to prison would explain why D'Aquila and Mineo became bosses around the same time. We don't have any evidence to support this, but we don't have any against it either. I also doubt...

Re: Complete lists of pre-1931 bosses of all NY families?
The Luchese family, imo, is the continuation of the original Morello family. The Masseria/Morello group was the rebel faction who created the new family (though there is a debate) so if there is a way to indicate this, I think it would provide more clarity. One correction to my post. Vincenzo Terran...
