Re: NY Mob and the 1980s Miami?
I agree it was a different market before the 1970s.

Re: NY Mob and the 1980s Miami?
Actually Santo Trafficante used to import cocaine from Ecuador and Chile before production moved to Colombia. Furthermore the mafia in the US has been involved in cocaine as far back as the 1930s. I would agree once cocaine production moved to Colombia that Latino oc members began to control supply ...

Re: Current Boston
I had heard Carmen has been boss since Shacks stepped down but again just rumors although I personally do believe it’s possible he is boss.

Re: Current Boston
Both Anthony Dinunzio and Anthony Spagnolo have been identified as acting boss within the last ten years or so. There hasn’t been any recent confirmations from the feds as to who else if anyone is in the administration. Everyone else that has been identified as being in the administration is specula...

Re: 2019 DEA National Drug Threat Assessment
Actually according to the report heroin seizures are down from last year and the DEA predicts heroin smuggling will go down and the trafficking on fentanyl and other synthetic opioids will continue to go up. Furthermore the purity of heroin is down over the past few years while the presence of synth...

Re: 2019 DEA National Drug Threat Assessment
Thank for posting. I noticed they no longer have a specific section for outlaw motorcycle clubs. They now group them in with street gangs. I wonder if DEA sees them as less of a threat or they are just reorganizing the report. Kind of surprising with an increase in OMC activity especially in the nor...

Chippy was under Lato. I believe he was involved in the strip club scheme that sent Shacks to prison.

It seems Matty Gugs and Joe Achille might be the only two active guys on the street now. Does anyone else remember a report from a few years ago that Joe Achille was sick, possibly cancer?

Re: Peter Limone Died?
I agree with TJ that maybe at one point Limone was the acting boss, but never the official boss. It has been my belief for years that Cheese has been the boss since Baby Shacks stepped down, and I still believe it. Limone was never publicly identified by any law enforcement agency as the boss. He (L...

Re: Sonny Franzese release
Not trying to derail the thread but is this the first time James Marcello has been identified as underboss? Considering his life sentence and the fact that his guys on the street are either dead (Tony Zizzo) or they answer to someone else like Mike Sarno before he was convicted. I'm hoping Snakes or...

Re: USA Network: Inside the FBI Gangs and Gangsters
I am not 100% sure but I think that the bust may have been connected to Luchese member Eugene Castelle's gambling site. They mentioned the Lucheses and I think the timeline from when the show was filmed that it would fit. Although it could have been that "East Coast Enterprise Arrest" as s...
