Re: “Mafia Takedown” by Mike Campi
Currently about two-thirds of the way through it. It's good, I'd recommend it. I'll share some things I thought were interesting when I've finished it. I was worried when I saw at the front that some passages had been redacted by request of the FBI and some names had been changed. However, two third...

Re: Crews that became families
I don't believe Utica ever broke away from Buffalo (or North Eastern Pennsylvania, depends who you ask). There's also no evidence that Montreal ever broke away from the Bonannos. Apart the fact that from 1999 they doesnt take order by Bonannos and that when Sal Montagna was deported back to Canada ...

Re: joe de fede
Hi there brothers, can anybody tell me where to find the testimony or cross examination of Joe deFede. Thanx If you want his testimony you'll likely have to find out which dates he testified in federal cases and directly contact the transcript service at the relevant court to order the transcripts ...

Re: New LCNBios posts
That's a great new post. A lot of interesting information about the Lucchese administration, captains, and inductions during the 90s. A few other things I thought were interesting: - Around October 1993 DeFede was made captain by Amuso and put on a three-man panel to run the family along with Steven...

Thought that was really interesting about Gravano demonstrating the induction ceremony for other inmates. John Veasey said the same thing about Gravano when he was in prison with him.

Re: Cleveland: Sinito son raided by feds
Thanks, checked out the book. Here's what Joe Griffin writes about the 1970s-1980s Cleveland ceremonies: Sometime in 1977 Anthony Liberatore and John Calandra were made members of the family. Lonardo said that murder usually was a prerequisite for becoming a member but in the case of Calandra and Li...

Re: Cleveland: Sinito son raided by feds
I believe that Lonardo also told the Feds that Sinito and Joe Gallo were both inducted in a 1979 ceremony in a Mayfield Rd social club. I don’t recall offhand where this might be documented, I don’t believe that it was in Lonardo’s 1988 testimony. Does anyone else remember where details of this cer...

Re: Testimony of Robert C Luisi Jr, US v Enrico Ponzo (2013)
In his testimony he says Manocchio was in charge in Providence and Jackie Salemme was in charge in Boston after Frank Salemme went on the lam. Yes, as you'll see on the first post in this thread, he says the Salemme faction consisted of the Rossettis and the Luisis.

DiPrizio was aligned with the renegade faction, but Luisi says he didn't ask specifically why Salemme wanted him dead.
