Re: Gangland June 20th 2024

As for Giardina, sources say the Gambinos have placed him in the crew of acting capo Joseph Traina, 60, who like his late father Mario, a family skipper for both Big Paul Castellano and John Gotti, has managed to avoid any serious troubles with the law. That's interesting. Assuming he took over for...

Re: Transcripts of wiretaps during the 1950s/60s

Re: TMA: The Camorra's Influence on American Cosa Nostra

Would you think part of the reason was that the Camorra may be just a collection of individual clans with no defined ties or rules binding them to each other? The (now defunct) camorra honoured society did have elaborate defined rules and structures, and the cells of this organisation that emerged ...

Re: Skinny Joey

That's one of the issues with this "what does New York think of 'Joey' doing a podcast?" stuff. It's always been complicated politically. Agree with this. The Natale/Merlino faction's political connections to other families are often overlooked because they don't fit clearly with the esta...

Yeah, Big Joe is Joseph R Perna, son of Michael Perna. Little Joe is Joseph M Perna, son of Ralph Perna and older brother of John Perna. Little Joe is the guy in the photograph from the Taccetta hearing. Big Joe is the guy in the Gang Land photograph. Big Joe is the guy Pennisi says is the current o...

Nigro apparently was off the panel by 2004, think I've said this previously, he was said to have been involved in a power struggle with Danny Leo. They didn't get along and some of this evidence was going to be used at Nigro's trial but I don't think the government ended up using it. Meant to ask a...

Re: Bonanno Family Lineage Chart

So would Marangello have only been consigliere for about six months then? In March 1974, Violi was recorded telling Rizzuto about how Rastelli was elected official boss, and that Marangello was underboss and Cannone the consigliere.
