Re: Tony Mirra Fbi file
Right Pogo, Mirra was possible an informant. This has been brought up due to the Feds backing up Big Joe about the killings related to Brasco fiasco. He got out in 1976, just in time to introduce Pistone around to the Bonanno family. Yep I made that part up, cause at the time Tony was in Missouri du...

Re: Tony Mirra Fbi file
He allegedly killed Mike Consolo, but I don't think he was involved in that. He was part of the team that tried to kill Giuseppe Grimaldi, and Antonio Agate(associate). He was with the team at the false meeting in 1969, that helped Paul, Joe, and Phil rise to the family administration level. He kill...

Zocolilo was asked to identify ten made men he met. He was not asked about their ranks during that line of questioning.

Re: How big was christie tick furnari/19th hole crew?
Vario operated mainly out of Bensonhurst. Tick was born in Dyker Heights, and took over Sonny C 19th Hole. Gaspipe grew up in South Brooklyn and hanged around a lot in Red Hook. Amuso grew up around Park Slope. The crews were all over Brooklyn area, but Tick operated from Dyker Heights, and Vario fr...

Capeci does not do most of his articles anymore, he has others do it for him. If it was a piece he wrote, he would not have mixed up the photos.

Re: How big was christie tick furnari/19th hole crew?
It was a big crew under Sonny C. The Vario crew and one other, the name escapes me split from this crew right before the books closed, all based in Brooklyn. There are more knowledgeable posters on here who would know more.

Manna was one of those few Capos or Soldiers from a different crew that rented an apartment in the Village to stay close to Gigante. Bobby Manna was a Capo to a New Jersey crew.

Re: Was Benny Eggs ever a capo
1985-1986, maybe earlier than that. He was acting for Dominick Cirillo, this is the Greenwich Village crew. This was a time where LE snagged Fat Tony, and a couple of high ranking members close to The Chin, and distrusted a few lucrative operations in the Genovese Family. After the Commission Case, ...

Re: Carmine Galante's brother - Samuel
Great find. I always thought that Sam Galante was a cousin of Carmine.B. wrote:The Samuel Galante born in 1906 eventually lived in Endwell, which basically runs into Endicott.
I am thinking Rosario "Sam" Galante is James' father. Looks like they both lived in Howard Beach.

Re: Historical Genovese Leadership Crews
Not 100% on topic, but I thought it fit here: A source claimed that a power struggle was building between Mike Miranda, backed by Antonio Carillo and Ruggiero Boiardo, and Vito Genovese, backed by Thomas Eboli, Peter DeFeo, and "probably" Angelo DeCarlo. This was due to Miranda disapprovi...

They also buy houses under their real names and start charging rent. For safe houses they use a family member who has no trouble with the law, use it as a second house to keep it stocked, furnished and make sure that members leaving and going who are on the lam are to non essent, as only the owner s...
