Re: The Cicale Files
I went through the ebook of the Sixth Family for Vitale's statement and this is what he said, according to the authors: “I think the last time I was in their presence when they brought money down was approximately ’98, ’99,” Vitale said of the Montreal gangsters. He said Montreal might have continue...

I cannot recall that he made that specific statement. Could you list a source?Pogo The Clown wrote:Vitale claimed that the Rizzutos stopped kicking up and broke off ties after Sciascia was kiled in 1999.

Re: The Cicale Files
* Contrary to reports, including in The Sixth Family , Cicale says there was never any formal break between Rizzuto and the Bonanno family. [snip] It got to the point where rumors started to get back to Massino about Rizzuto and "he did not like what he was hearing so he immediately sent for V...

No offense man but who cares about that rat bastard,i hope the next thing i hear about him is that somebody clipped him. The only thing getting clipped in 2014 is hair. Canada sparks my interest with the recent mob violence but no one cares to elaborate on what's going on up there. No, it's you bei...

Wasn't Pisciotti the Acting Capo who, when asked by authorities, how his duties changed, he said they really didn't? No, he was nothing more than a soldier. The family itself has the most in common with the Bonannos and Genoveses.123JoeSchmo wrote:I always thought the Corleone Family was based off the Genovese Family, but I could be wrong

Re: Tonino Callocchia murdered
If he was really on good terms with the Sollecitos, then why didn't they attent the funeral themselves? And Leonardo attending the funeral in normal clothing to me seems quite disrespectful.

Re: Tonino Callocchia murdered
This article states that Callochia was also at odds with Stefano Sollecito, who is named as Vito's successor. He seems like a guy who made a living out of switching sides.

Re: Who killed Angelo Bruno?
According to George Freselone, Caponigro pulled the trigger himself. Another suspect often thrown around was Capongiro's brother-in-law Alfred "Freddy" Salerno (who was of course whacked with Caponigro). Pogo How could a guy expect to become the new boss if he had to do it all by himself?...

Re: Tonino Callocchia murdered
This new article by Daniel Renaud states that Callochia had sided with Montagna and was collecting 'pizzo' on behalf of Montagna. He had threatened a businesswoman close to Desjardins and told her that Montagna was expecting an additional tax. This is interesting because it confirms that Montagna wa...

Who killed Angelo Bruno?
In response to the thread on who killed Caponigro, I'm personally more interested in who actually pulled the trigger on Bruno. We know Caponigro had given the order. Did Caponigro have his own crew? And if so, which guys were under him, because the answer to this question lies there.
