Awesome work, as usual! I love reading your articles. I always find the stories of the lower-to-mid level guys so interesting too. Like Zeid, they really scrape out an existence.

Thanks for reading. The Pittsburgh Mafia's adventures in Havana directly impacted American foreign policy. Abe Zeid's associate Joseph Merola should be more well-known.

Great stuff Ed !! I'm from the area,and knew nothing about this guy.
His is a truly fascinating story,and I really enjoyed learning about another facet of Pittsburgh OC history.
