The Sibillo clan, also known as "a paranza re creature Sibillo" is a Camorra clan, active mainly in the city of Naples, in the Forcella district and in the surrounding areas.
Literature and cinema, basing themselves on real events, have recounted the fictional part; the press, news stories; the investigative bodies, the criminological profile.
The investigation put together the information and retraced the facts. The following account concerns Emanuele Sibillo and his paranza companions.
Reckless, violent minors, armed like adults, apparently fearless, contemptuous of death, but naive and inexperienced like children.
Here is their story.
Emanuele Sibillo ES17 (15 years old)
In 2010, at the age of 15, Emanuele Sibillo was arrested for the first time by the State Police, during a search of his house, while he threw two pistols out the window so they wouldn't be found.
Emanuele was sent to a community for minors, where he began to get noticed, but in a positive sense, he proved to be a respectful, studious and apparently completely rehabilitated subject.A year later, however, he escaped from the community for minors. He was captured almost immediately and escorted, this time, to the Nisida juvenile prison.
Subsequently, he was transferred to another community, where once again he was able to distinguish himself.He attended a course in journalism, made interviews on youth problems and learned the techniques of video editing.
In 2012, around Christmas, he was released and returned to his neighborhood.
Six months later he was already one of the participants in a summit between various Camorra families.
Emanuele Sibillo, during that period met Mariarca Savarese, originally from the Sanità district, nephew of Salvatore, known as "Totore" Savarese, a heavy respected man in the Neapolitan criminal scene.
Salvatore Savarese, boss of the clan of the same name in the Sanità district had his stronghold in Cristallini street and had grown up under the guidance of the former boss of the Sanità district Giuseppe Misso, known as 'O Nasone (Big Nose).
Mariarca Savarese became Emanuele Sibillo's girlfriend and in the course of a very few years also the mother of his two children.

After the birth of his first son, Emanuele, he became known as ES17, an abbreviation obtained from the initials of his name and surname, the number 17 reiterating the letter "s", the seventeenth letter of the Italian alphabet.
At the age of 18, undisputed leader of the "paranza re creature Sibillo", through ambushes and shootings,was fighting for the control of the alleys of the historic center with his rivals the Buonerba clan tied to the Mazzarella clan.
Forcella's third feud began in March 2013 and ended in July 2015.
The feud saw the Mazzarella clan, the Del Prete clan and the Buonerba clan fight against "a paranza r'è creatures Sibillo" together with a Camorra cartel formed by the new recruits of the Giuliano family, who had been in conflict with their own relatives for many years , flanked by the Sibillo clan, the Brunettis and Amirantes, the latter allies of the Ferraiuolo clan and externally supported by the Rinaldi group of San Giovanni a Teduccio, for the control of the districts of Forcella, Maddalena and Duchesca.
The feud ended with the victory of the paranza r'è creature Sibillo and the expulsion of the Mazzarellas from San Giovanni, despite the death of Emanuele Sibillo.

On Thursday 2 July 2015, Mariarca Savarese was pregnant of ES17's second child, Emanuele Sibillo junior.
His father was on the run, as an arrest warrant had been issued against him and he had escaped during a maxi blitz.
That night in July 2015, she, together with the fire group of his paranza, aboard the scooters and armed to the teeth went under the houses of the rivals of the Buonerba clan.
The Sibillo fire group, which arrived near Castel Capuano, began to fire, with AK 47 Kalashnikovs in automatic mode and other large-caliber semi-automatic weapons, but ES17 was fatally shot in the back by the Buonerbas' return fire.
(As it later became known because they forgot the bulletproof vests).

ES17 could count on the components of the paranza, well armed, but almost all between 13 and 17 years old, with no experience of "shooting", or guerrilla tactics, therefore not very accurate.
The Buonerba clan, among its ranks, had real snipers, precise shooters, men with experience in tactics and shooting, furthermore the Buonerba stronghold district had earned the name of "alley of death", logistically designed to leave no escape to the invaders.
The desperate ride on the scooter to take him to the Loreto Mare hospital was useless, Emanuele Sibillo arrived there already dead, he was just 19 years old.

ES17,THE MYTH
Eight years have passed since his death, but time has not scratched the myth, it has instead magnified it, making ES17 an icon of the Camorra that originated almost from a marketing maneuver, a brand.Starting from the figure of the baby boss, the myth was self-sustaining, reaching far beyond the real "military strength".
So much so that, up until a few years after her death, before she was removed by the Carabinieri, the urn with ES17's ashes, depicting her face, was venerated as a relic.
People had to kneel in front of the altar that his family had built under the house.
A beard with a jihadist cut, big eyeglasses and a black hooded sweatshirt, by now they were and have become a way of being and not just a look.
On the occasion of the carnival, people can still be seen with the mask of ES17.

According to reports from Dia and other sources of investigation, although the baby boss Emanuele Sibillo, alias ES17, was killed and most of the key members of the group were arrested, today, the Sibillo clan is active.
