I think it was a smart decision to take the year all day ,hes far from broke and will still have eberything to come home too a year is no big deal ...A guy like narducci could do a year standing on his head ,hes done decades definetely a decent loss though between lawyer fees, money seized, any bond money but nothing compared to what Gigantes kid lost to the Government ,i said it in a different topic Esposito took a Huge loss, something like that has to hurt and then to have to do a bid and explain what happened to whoever he had to answer too Narducci came off easy in comparison to Esposito but good for him anyways the Feds playing ball with some scumbag terrorist i would have loved to heard narducci lawyer rip him apart but the case was bs and they offered a year and narducci jumped on it cause a possible 8 or more or whatever would he have got if by some chance he lost would have been tough at his age after doing the huge bid he just did and losing what he came out and put together while he was home he had to take the year ....its a year..
.

Sometimes in a case like this the feds would require Phil to give up his claim for the money in exchange for lesser time. A good example of how the feds work would be the Giagnte's kids, Andrew and the Esposito kid. Both gave up tons of cash in order to get less time.
The plea was sealed, so no details

dack2001 wrote: Thu May 16, 2019 8:28 am Good for him. Does the plea involve forfeiting the money? I would bet they let him buy out a year of jail time by giving up the claim to the money.
So the rat gets to keep the money?

One thing no one is saying too is the extra price tag for going to trial. Going to trial prob cost him another $100k in lawyer fees. Spend more big money to maybe beat a trial

Easily a GREAT deal.

One year out in 7-8 vs 10yrs on a conviction.

What’s to not understand here? And it’s not as if he DIDNT do this....

I stand by my point. I've been and continue to be through the court system every day brother, I know what I speak of in this situation. Public defender or some cheap hack pulls 4-5 years on a plea. Narducci goes to trial and risks getting 10. Hires the best and gets a year and a day. Doesn't always work like that and that's the risk, but generally the money is very, very well spent. Frankly, surprised you have been to prison and criticize the plea here, this is the right call all day and twice on Sunday.

You can say he folded like a cheap suit but clearly you've never been in the situation, but in the words of Junior Soprano, "we 're not making a western here". Go to trial and lose he could serve 8 years or more, which means he loses the restaurant, watches his wife marry some other asshole and that guys kisses his kids and plays with his grand kids, or you end up dying in prison. It's the right move and made possible because he hired the right counsel.
He got the deal because it was a bullshit case, yeah paying for a a great lawyer helps , yeah was the right move if he was guilty .

the main evidence wire taps and loan shark ledger the feds found , government used a former terrorist . Government had s shakey case against Narducci gives him a year . Long and short government wins

I have been to prison I highly doubt you even had a parking ticket .

The Feds love it when they can intimidate the Felicity Huffmans of world into pleading guilty without putting up a defense. These guys are worth every penny. I hope Lori Loughlin fights tooth and nail as well.
What do u mean Phil folded like a cheap suit
All this guff about going to trial . His only chance was a hung jury
Long story short the government wins
Again the feds using a major scumbag to take someone else down . Imagine that terrorist on cross
