I worked in private sanitation myself but dont even wanna get started on this subject as I did a lil bit a while back ,Too much to drink tonight I'll get into this another day
From the way things sound what does it now take to start clean (break into) the industry in boroughs there? Does it help to have clean fronts for the company to get all the paper work approved? How and why are Hasidics in the industry? I remember they were big in warehouses in Brooklyn and in the moving (relocation) business in the Bronx. But now the solid waste business too? I would never imagine they would want to get involved in anything like that. I have to say they are aggressive and whatever they do they go all in, family members and all. How long has it been that way? Hasidics and the garbage business? Times have certainly changed that's for sure. I always liked and got along with them although my interaction was always fleeting and in passing. But there again I know I am a only looked upon as a gentile at least and a goyim at worse (probably both). I always respected how devout they are and made the connection in my mind between them and the holocaust so I always had a bit of a soft spot for them. I liked how they reject a lot of the mores of today's modern world and lived separate in their own world. But there again I never experienced living among them (or in proximity, an immersion experience of sorts) and seeing how I would be treated in that circumstance or did any kind of business with them especially as a competitor and finding out what that would be like.
Theres a few now, One I can think of off the top of my head is Yankels waste removal,Sanitation and container down at the end of McDonald ave by Dahill road, Pretty big outfit, And theres a few others I'll try n het the names of but yea they're moving in at a nice pace and size. Theres a Russian one I see too in Coney island, Midwood, Brighton called Boshelvski's container and removal, And theres a few Albanian Co. Also
They're some kinda Czechoslovakian immigrants or some shit. These Pollacks, they'll haul paper, plastic and aluminum, for 7000 a month less than Dick. They figure if they can tell the commie bosses back in Czechoslovakia to go fuck themselves, they can fucking tell us.
This is why I came here to this forum. Wiseguy and pizza guy would have these conversations and it was always fun to watch. Hope all is well wiseguy. Havent seen pizzaguy around in a while. Hope hes doing well.
What are you gonna do, this is the state of our country today. The new BIC induced insurance requirements alone make it a useless effort to even attempt to start up a small sanitation company within the 5 boros. A retired cop I know just sold his couple of trucks because it's not worth it to pay the license fees and insurance for the 2 truck show he was running with successfully. I'll be long gone soon and cant wait. It disgusts me to stay here and watch this shit show. I'll check back more often.
