Sonny, I think Lewis Kasman had nothing to do with Gene Gotti going to jail but yet the writer says, "Gene Gotti went down in part because of the cooperation of Lewis Kasman, John’s former trusted aide, who sat for an interview with this reporter in Florida in 2012. Kasman feared for his life but was not in witness protection."
Also like you said,Sonny Franzese, he's 101 for christ sake.If he's active we would love to now. There is no mention of the Falcone infiltration. And he evens write that an ex cop calls everyone a RAT. If that's the case then why even write the article. The mob is dead. Worst thing I have ever read.

I went to read the article again to see if they were anymore mistakes and it looks like The NY Post reads the Black Hand Forum because they deleted the mention of Lewis Kassman being responsible for locking up Gene Gotti. The incorrect report is in the above post.

Did they really change the article?! too funny

@WG: ColumBO’s 😉

And when ‘these type of articles don’t usually make distinctions between’ translates to: ‘these types of articles are usually WRONG’. Just because they make common mistakes doesn’t mean they aren’t mistakes.

It just means anything they state which is new is worth little in value.

Again, usual failure of the current journalistic state pushing what they want rather than the objective facts.

Beyond lazy and egregious reporting.
Didn't Gene Gotti get caught up due to
the Angelo Ruggiero wire taps on the
daughter's phone. They were selling
Angelo's brother's heroin IIRC.
Correct. Fucked if I know what that’s got to do with Kasman.
Kasman might have given info after Gene and Ang
were indicted. But the writer mistakes the main reason
they all got busted. Sometimes I think we should be
writing these articles. There are forum memebers that
seem to know much more than the 'journalists'.

Except for the 47 odd blatant mistakes and errors. Crea boss, Cali boss, Cammarano boss. When they can’t even get 3/5 bosses correct how do you trust what else they say?

Which is frustrating as there could be some interesting info in there regards Franzese still being active and the Bo’s making a bunch of guys recently. But this infos rendered to shit because of the blatant mistakes above.

Usual disappointing journalism.
These types of articles often don't bother to make distinctions between a boss or acting boss. And the article said it was the Colombos that made some new members recently.

Being non-violent is not "the old ways".

The "old way" was killing people all the time. Not killing people is very much a new way of doing things.

How is it interesting when the same piece also describes Crea as the boss and also Cammarano as ‘Don’.

Credibility-Zero
Ur actually right. Last I checked crea was underboss of the Luccheses and Cammerano was underboss for the bonannos.

The papers will always tell you the mob is alive and well until the next big bust when the headline reads "NY Mob decimated by this morning's FBI raid on 48 reputed mobsters"
Business as usual, agents get promoted, some plea down, some do a little time, some skate. And the rat...they get dumped to the side and forgotten by their once chummy FBI handler "pals" and get the pleasure of living the rest of their lives like the lowlife pieces of shit their parents raised. The end [emoji16]
