According to Pennisi, Matty Madonna was made a capo with no crew and then promoted to acting boss. He said desantis went straight from soldier to acting boss

In the Patriarca Crime Family Frank Salemme was a capo with no crew under former boss Raymond Patriarca Junior.

Bobby Deluca in the recent murder trial that involved Salemme claimed that he was a capo with no crew under Frank Salemme.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I also remember read in TJ English's book on Cuba that Alo represented Chicago's casino interests on the island. Have you ever seen any connection between Alo and Chicago? This info always seemed odd to me.

Jimmy Alo was interviewed by a reporter who published it in the Miami Herald after his death. Alo said that he met Lansky in 1929, before he met Luciano. Lansky is probably the one who introduced Alo to Luciano. Alo described their relationship as friends and partners.

Joey Adonis? Picasso used to say the was a capo without a crew, but he was succeeded by Jimmy Blue Eyes Alo, and I believe he had a crew that he inherited from Joey A.
I've always read that Alo had "control" of or protected Lansky, if so did he inherit him from Adonis as well?
