I doubt it was him in this case as he wasn’t high level at the time ( maybe not even made ?) but Louis Moscatiello
I believe came out more recently as a CI . He was a Gotti disciple I think and came up with his HB crew , going way back.

Actually that has me thinking . In Gotti Jr Doc he said his dad had a rule to never talk murder with a guy he never did time with ( the Gravano mistake), so did Louis do time with Gotti ? Basically show how flawed both Gottis thought processes were
Said he would never associate with anyone who didn't do time

Also does anyone have a link to the audio recording of Dellacroce saying “we gotta roll it up and go to war”?

I’ve heard it somewhere online before but I can seem to find it!

Also, does anyone have the full Time Magazine artical in the link below about Dellacroce being an informant? From what I've read this is just the FBI placing disinformation about a respected and regarded Cosa Nostra legend...perhaps spreading a little dysentery amongst the ranks...?

http://content.time.com/time/magazine/a ... reddit.com

I'd like to read the full artical...

B. wrote: Wed Jul 25, 2018 2:31 pm I believe the agents specifically said it was a Gambino member who reported the Commission meeting. There's no reason to think it was Scarpa.

Carmine Lombardozzi was still alive at that point and had been previously active as an informant. I'm not sure if he'd have been in the loop on the Commission activities or if he had continued to inform in any capacity into the 1980s, but he is another possibility.
The tip must have come from somebody who was going to be there or somebody who was going to drive one of the bosses there. That´s the most logical explanation for the successful catch. Usually the bosses do not tell their underlings where exactly a meeting will take place. In their eyes, they don´t need to know the details. Another possibility is that the tip came from the house owner. Do anyone know who the house owner was at the time? That could narrow it down in finding out who the tipster was.
Could the address/date/time of the Commission meeting been picked up by the feds from the bug in Castellano's house; or Tony Ducks' Jaguar; or the bug in the floor of Fat Tony's social club? Either of them could have spoken about the meeting and been heard.

I think it's a mystery why most CIs did what they did. Various motivations, frustrations, etc.

Hello B. ill agree if a guy died within several years it may jeopardize cases on going, after a decade or more? not really. nobody is ever killing family members who were c.i. s..italy maybe these days..frank copa, frank lino, i.e. fathers ratted they still function and live freely and openly in the mob. they are fair game if anyone is. they are made guys involved with the life, a guy like dellcroce, whom i do not believe or decicco i also do not believe were undercover rats, lombardozzi very well could have been.if any of those guys were living two lives, my opinion and it is just that, would go a very long way for the G to recruit C.I.s.. who would not want a stay out of prison card today? and they pay you also..
