To everyone who read what I said: My bad.
Here is the article:

When it said he was preparing for a more modest job, it didn't actually mean OCCUPATION. It just meant he was going to go home and make soup!

Thank you for correcting me, Buster and sorry 116Street.
You read that as he has a job at Waldbaums making lentil soup???
I must have hastily written down in my notes as “job at Waldbaum’s making lentil soup.” To be fair, I don’t know what the fuck a Waldbaum’s even is.
Ok now I understand what your saying....it’s a supermarket
Sorry for the confusion Buster.
No worries Gohn, I read your second post wrong
The one thing I can say is he was definitely a degenerate gambler, at the track everyday

He got a job at Waldbaum's in Howard Beach making lentil soup, but it probably didn't last too long.

According to Gaspare Valenti, during this time he was a brokester, Vinny was seen splurging $50,000 at the horses.
One night, as Vinny was preparing to meet a potential shakedown victim he hadn't seen in years at a Starbucks, Valenti asked him if he would recognize him.
"For money, you could be dead 300 years I'd know what you look like," Vinny answered, laughing.
Awesome! He is one horrible guy this vinny

Jeez. Must have been really embarrarsing for him. One would think he didn’t have to take it for income reasons, considering his status. But you never know with these guys obviously
He definitely had to take it. He was dead broke by that point before Tommy D made the worst mistake of his life and upped him to capo/ruling panel.
