Could be. One would think that the processors know what they are doing. If they don´t, as much as they are keeping names fully visable by mistake, they could also very well be redacting names that should not be redacted. And that would be extremely frustrating for all of us who are into reading these files.

Odd that they didn't redact Franzese or Persico since they're both alive. Their names come up in several files, as does Joseph Lombardo and even DiFronzo.

Thanks for posting this Snakes. There is some interesting stuff in there that helped me clear up some things.

It´s not Danny Marino. Danny Marino had a criminal record by 1965 (assault on the FBI agent in connection with the funeral of Camillo Lombardozzi) and Danny was never identified as made in the 1960s. As you can see in the report, it says the subject had no record and was identified as a made member. It´s clear though that the subject was a member of Carmine Lombardozzi´s crew, so my guess is that the subject is Joseph "Joe the Ox" Marino or Philip John Modica (judging by the fact that all subjects are placed in alphabetical order). I don´t know when that report was processed and obtained, but Modica may be still alive today which could explain why the name is redacted.
The second name could very well be Panarella.

Ninety page FBI memorandum on "shylocking" from 1965. Not a ton of new information but some interesting stuff. The redacted guy on page 49 (of the pdf) has to be Danny Marino, right? The other redacted guy on page 94 is probably Charles Panarella.
