Yeah i have family that lives back there still i moved roght after the levy was under new construction i actually worked at the syndicate with the new owners the schillings im from edgewood ky but i read on some site you can google it try googling irish mob in Cincinnati and a page should show talking about some greek guy in newport and the irish in i think clifton area but wanted to know if there was any truth to that

I live across the river. If there is any OC activity left, it’s independent guys. Newport has become almost gentrified in many areas. Most of the riverfront area is now called Newport on the Levy with entertainment venues, bars, nightclubs, and restaurants. Glenn Schmidt’s Playtorium is now a banquet hall called The Syndicate. Most of the other old joints still stand (at least the buildings) as ancient relics to the sin city days. In fact, there is some outfit that gives gangster tours of the sites.
