Ardito was very close to Mike Miranda and may have been directly assaigned to him after Miranda's huge crew was split up and after Miranda was made consigliere under Vito Genovese. Ardito succeeded him as consigliere after his death in 1973 and was part of a ruling panel when Tieri was indicted and ill (mid 1970s). Sources say that Ardito was a very BAD man, disliked and not particulary popular with the troops. A man that was only out for himself. That is possibly why he was demoted from his consigliere position sometime in the late 1970s, possibly 1978. No official info has been found on why he was demoted.
