I live within a 15 min walk of Grimaldi's Bakery....from my experience you are more likely to find hipsters there than wiseguys. Grimaldi's is also a huge wholesale bread company.

Grimaldi Bakery is owned by Bonanno capos Vito & Joseph Grimaldi, and street boss Joe Cammarano Jr.'s wife is the manager. Don't know if many mob guys hang out there.

Also, John Zancocchio's restaurant, Bella Mama's, in S.I. has been the site of a few prominent mob meetings. Both Cammarano and Zancocchio were arrested last month.

Portucale I’ve been to a bunch - know the owner , and I didn’t see wise guys there . Shocking how many checks the cashed and you would never know . It’s mainly a Portuguese , Brazilian and local spot

Sorry, there is no connection that I know of. I was just mentioning one of the Italian businesses still operating in the area.
