The gun was found on the way from Giancana's house to Blasi's. Nick said that Frank Calabrese and Angelo LaPietra fashioned the silencer.

As Sam22 stated, they got a lot of these weapons from the gun store in Florida. Schweihs was seen around there a lot and in Florida in general.

I believe he testified that Accardo ordered the Giancana hit. Maybe that second hand info will come out someday.

I think they found the gun near Blasi's house.

22 with a silencer. Supposedly they had someone making them in Florida. The 22 with a silencer was used in a bunch of mob hits in the mid to late 70's. I believe Jackie Cerone told Jimmy the weasel that.

Blasi was first Accardo's so-called "errand boy" and then he became Giancana's. It is also possible that Angelo LaPietra prepared the gun for Giancana's execution and Blasi allegedly delivered it, although it is possible that he might've let somebody else through the back door and killed the former boss but this is only a speculation

I read where Butch Blasi and Accardo were close even though Blasi was also close to Giancana. If Blasi was the hit man in the Giancana murder, I'm surprised they didn't wack him also. It was such a high profile hit.

Yeah i also remember reading one of Rosellis interviews and he stated that he was more closely affiliated with Ricca than Accardo. Also stories like Ricca gave him money when Roselli was a youngster so he can go to LA and something like Ricca also being the main mediator in Rosellis later transfer to Chicago

Those two were thought of as being extremely petty whacking guys 40 years after having a personal beef with them. Specifically Giancana and rosselli were supposedly whacked not because of them being afraid of what they would say in court but because of beefs. According to roselli accardo hated him going back to the Capone days supposedly over rosellis higher standing with Capone at the time and that contributed to his demise as much as anything else. Many guys were whacked just because they were giancana guys not because they actually did anything wrong
Never know about such relationships between accardo and roselli. I think roselli became a made in LA mob

Yeah looks like them two were quite notorious, including Cerone. And to tell you the truth Accardo was always different than Ricca
