Edward DeLuca is the great nephew of Pietro “Peter” DeLuca, who was one of the larger numbers bank operators in Western PA back in the 50’s & 60’s. Moved to San Francisco after he made a bunch of money and retired early, Tony Grosso scooped up his operation. He wasn’t a made guy but he was a big earner in the numbers business. He was connected to Bobby Iannelli as well.

The initial investigation in this case started back in 2014. In August 2015, 39 local businesses were raided and 178 illegal video gambling machines (owned by Zucco Vending) were confiscated in Westmoreland County.
