Doubt there was ever a Mafia Family in Alabama during that time frame. Any organized type of crime was run by White Southerners or the Marcello Mafia Group out of New Orleans in conjunction with some good old boys.

Like I say, that's funny coming from Ole $i$$. I'm glad we didn't sell our soul for two fucking wins and a couple of hookers and underage girls.

Here we count SEC and National Championships, y'all celebrate only two wins against Alabama. Just shows how dumb y'all were, if you cheat you make sure you win freaking titles! But you fools couldn't even cheat the right way.

Just like Mississippi.
You talk as though Bama aren't the biggest cheaters in the whole nation.

Bessemer AL, A true shithole of a town. Stayed there when I went to Alabama Adventure theme park. Hometown of Bo Jackson. No Italian American organized crime there because there are very few Italians. There was a lot of gambling back then. Phenix City was a hub of organized crime but it was Dixie Mafia and what they called the smacker mob. After Phenix City they moved to the MS/TN border which was called the State Line Mob.I am sure these guys laid off their big bets to the big bookmakers up North but they weren't Cosa Nostra. You have all heard the Buford Pusser walking tall stories. Carmen Gagliardi was a Boston Mobster that took part on the hit on Pusser and killed his wife.

The remnants of the family was wiped out in the big indictment in 1994. Though there probably still was some residual LCN activity up until the mid 2000s.
