Nobody cared. I doubt a ton of people knew anyway.

Also read were Zizzo was never the underboss.
I know marcello was very high up but do you really think he could have been THE boss being half italian and all?

Snakes wrote: Fri Aug 11, 2017 5:45 am To my recollection, he was never labeled as THE boss or acting boss but, as is too often the case in Chicago, "a" boss. He was referred to later on in the Tribune as Cicero crew leader. He was definitely mentioned as being in some type of top leadership role but being on my phone, it's a little more difficult for me to find it.

The federal government in their indictments have also never referred to anyone in the Outfit as being "made" or as being in some type of leadership position other than as "head" or "in charge" of a crew. The only exception is in the Family Secrets trial. Presumably, this is because they had nobody available (besides Nicholas Calabrese) to testify definitively as to the defendants' respective positions. The "Outfit" or "LCN" isn't even mentioned in Sarno's indictment.
The Family Secrets indictment would be an exception because Marcello and the Calabreses are all specified as made members of the Outfit.
That's what I said, although I didn't word it very well.

"Hook" has been misinterpreted through the years but generally it meant that he was good at getting guys on the "hook," i.e. juice payments.

SonnyBlackstein wrote: Fri May 19, 2017 10:56 pm This is another example of why the Outfit is fucked up.
The outfit genuinely doesn't seem like an OC group but a group of genuine serial killers and psychopaths. WHY would Capo's want to personally BEAT to death someone?!
Let's examine this for a second. They don't assign someone WELL down the chain to put two bullets into the back of someone's head, they THEMSELVES, BEAT, and strangle and club to death their victims. As bosses. What. The. Fuck.
And this isn't 'offenders' who've done something personal.
There's seriously something wrong with a lot of outfit guys. Not wrong in a criminal sense because obviously that's wrong but wrong in a humane sense.
I understand that on that side of the law violence may be necessary to keep the line. But a 50+ year old boss doing the deed themselves with a bat or cord? That's something different. That's not doing it because you have to. That's another level.
Very possible but it also extends the ability for a snitch. I see what you are saying though, I have read about a lot of torture stories coming out of Chicago and I've heard that New York considers them quite brutal. I mean they had a guy called The Hook who would throw victims on a meat hook and torch their genitals with a blowtorch but then I guess if you do it once or twice it could be for a reputation on the street. I mean these guys exist everywhere though

I seem to recall the feds labeling Sarno the acting boss around the time he was indicted. As for new members, I haven't seen any official confirmation about recent ceremonies. Just talk about it on the forums.

Frank wrote: Mon Aug 07, 2017 1:13 am Your welcome that's just a ballpark figure. If Sarno really made new members during his 5 years as front boss. Never have heard any names .Solly DiLaurentis had to straighten things out between the older members and the new Sarno loyalist it was reported. So that leads me to believe he made new members.
Sarno wasn't a "front boss" he was the boss, you could say street boss if you like who answered to difronzo or at least deferred to him if he had to. The outfit never had a "front boss" to shield law enforcement from anyone.

Chicago has had polar extremes. You've had the Mad Sams and you've had the Humphreys and Alex types.

I open to the fact 40 to 50 made members might be high. But there are a couple of men that aren't on the list that I think are made I'll have to look them up to see if they are still alive and how to spell their names. Now my point about the ages of these guys is over half of them are over 70 years old,and most of the rest are over 60. I would think that they would have made some younger guys in the last 10 to 15 years. Lol the could loose over half the family in the next five years. I read were some of the Sarno made guys were making waves with the older members. But we've got no names of these new made men that I would assume will be the next generation.
