And what happened to those factions after the events of 00's? Angelo Bruno was murdered and at least 3 members/associates of his crew defected and became rats. Carlo Mastrototaro died of natural causes in 2009.

My 2 cents...that was never Patriarca territory. Historically the Genovese NJ faction made up of several crews had a top guy like Moretti or Catena. Im not sure if the Massachusetts crews had a similar situation or not. I'd lean towards not. About their inductions one can look at the ceremony of Arilotta who was from the Springfield crew. He was made in the Bronx by Artie Nigro he was stripped down and pretty much alone from what I can remember. Details fuzzy on that. My guess is that under normal circumstances either a couple NY guys would travel out to MA to conduct ceremony or a few of the MA guys would head to NY. From last I read that Springfield crew was still getting hit with cases so looks like they still have things going on out there.
