Mario Sr. was made in Sicily according to Harry, as well as Harry's grandfather. Mario Sr. apparently wasn't consulted about Harry being made and he was later introduced to him. They must have done the ceremony without him. Riccobene was suspected in murders from the time he was a teenager and continued to be suspected in murders throughout the 1930s and on. A lot of guys get called a "mafia hitman" for participating in a murder or two, but Riccobene seems to have really fit the bill when he was young (and it's funny how a lot of member informants end up being these violent types -- personally I think it's because they have a sociopathic personality). His father on the other hand is said by multiple sources to have been a low-key, barely criminal member who was only loosely connected to some gambling operations to my knowledge. He was a contractor who worked heavily and had a large number of children (all of them half-siblings of Harry) to take care of. The fact that Riccobene was the opposite, a complete thug, may have been one reason he was made without his father's knowledge. I don't think Riccobene ever said who his sponsor actually was.

Pete Casella (the more well-known one -- his cousin of the same name was also made) is also believed to have gotten made very young and he was suspected in murders from at least his early 20s I believe. His father and most likely other relatives were members.

An informant, I think Riccobene if I remember right, said that members could get inducted as young as 13 in Sicily and I believe 16 or 17 in the US, somewhere around there. Wish there was more context or examples.

As for Acceutturo, it's a classic example of how even the ones who were made and in a position to share new info have to make blatant lies and ruin their credibility. This is why corroboration is so key. If D'Arco, Ricciardi, or someone could confirm this I would believe it but it's not even worth entertaining the idea that a 16-year-old would have been made in NYC in that era. Maybe Accetturo and Ralph Natale were made in the same ceremony. Fuckin' liars everywhere with this subject.

Harry by the time line of his birth 1909 and the time his Father moved him to Philly 1925 would only be in Philly for a few months maybe a dozen or so , Then he got made What the hell did a 16 year old hunch back midget in that 12 months do to get made , :?: Just saying ...Harry had mad street cred

Accetturo with those videos who can even get past that ! ....No creditability whatsoever

Does anyone know when this guy was made? If you read below he is claiming to have been made at age 16. Even with a father as powerful as Tumac was I have a hard time believing. It's a shame they lead with lies.

“Find Me Guilty” producer Bob DeBrino has found a new mobster worthy of screen stardom — Anthony Accetturo Jr.
Anthony Jr., 55 — whose father, now 79, was a leader in the Lucchese crime family nicknamed “Tumac,” after Tumak, the caveman hero of the 1940 film “One Million B.C.” — was the youngest “made” member of the mob at 16 and claims to have survived 11 assassination attempts, including one on his wedding day about 30 years ago in New Jersey.
Three men with AK-47s shot at the limo he and his bride were in, Anthony Jr. told DeBrino, but the couple declined to cancel their reception and arrived unscathed. Accetturo said to the 300 guests, “It was just a minor inconvenience.”
DeBrino, a former NYPD officer, met with Accetturro at Frank Talerico’s Ocean Manor Resort Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where Vin Diesel, Usher and Dennis Rodman were also hanging out.
DeBrino — who produced “Find Me Guilty,” in which Diesel starred as Jackie DiNorscio, who defended himself in the longest Mafia trial in US history — is now in talks with Accetturo for a book and film deal.
