I made mistake. Salvatore and Carmine are brothers, Anthony and Stephen are Salvatore's kids.

There may be a main area a crew is based but their territory can encompass anywhere they are regularly active.
Right. And Mafia territory of a specific crew is not geographically bound. A crew member can have for example a loanshark costumer who has a cigar shop located in Nassau county out on Long Island, and another member of another crew, another Family even, can have a loanshark costumer acoss the street from the cigar shop.

There may be a main area a crew is based but their territory can encompass anywhere they are regularly active. Obviously some crews operate in only one area, while others operate more widely in several. As said above, this doesn't always coincide with where every member of the crew lives. The mob, long ago, moved beyond being purely defined in terms of geography. It's why, while I agree that attrition has had the biggest effect in the demise of the mob, people sometimes make too big a deal out of Italian neighborhoods in the city disappearing. The mob has been largely a spread out, operating in the city, suburbs, etc. phenomenon for years now.

I personally haven't seen anything. If Aiello was an acting captain reporting to Santora and Santora already had Badamo designated as his acting captain (which is confirmed), I would guess Santora was in some kind of acting administration/panel role which is why he would have two (or more) acting captains reporting to him while still being on the street.

I've found info indicating that Aiello, who is a Bronx-based member, is related to Michael Mancuso, which would likely put him with the Bronx crew(s) or at least put him with that faction. And just a note, but Salerno has been said to be related to Mancuso as well but from at least one article this doesn't seem to be an actual blood/marital relation, just a close relationship.

Also another note -- when the topic of the Mancuso/Bronx faction has come up, there is a tendency for people to assume that this faction is exclusively made up of Bronx-based members, and that because the Bonannos have a limited Bronx presence they are "weak". While the core of this group might be based around Mancuso and his friends in the Bronx, he very well could have allies in other crews. Very rarely do you see factions develop based purely around territory. Depending on what Aiello's relationship is to Santora, it seems possible that Santora is among the pro-Mancuso group.
Yeah, many members of the so called "Bronx based crew(s)" don´t actually live in the Bronx anymore but in Queens and other places. They are connected to eachother because they belong to the same crew, not because they live in same area of the city. The traditional crew territory, is not what it used to be in the past when most crew members lived in same neighborhood and gathered around the crew leader in a social club on the block. Something interesting to consider...how can we define a Mafia crew territory today? Is the territory in the area where the members live in, or is it in the area where the skipper has his headquarters?

Vincent Caroleo is made. He was one of the Acting Capos listed a while back.
