What's funny is that both Bonannos give very questionable accounts of their making ceremonies. JB said that he was invited to dinner by a friend around his age, and when he got there a bunch of men from "different walks of life" including Maranzano were there. He says they did a toast and he knew he was with the family after that. JB downplays the ceremony, while Bill did the opposite and made his ceremony sound like a major Commission meeting.

Let's not forget Bill Bonanno who claimed the heads of the 4 other NY families (Profaci, Lucchese, Costello, and Anastasia), as well as bosses from Buffalo, Philadelphia, Chicago and Milwaukee, attended his making ceremony at a warehouse in Brooklyn. :roll:

I know the Gambino's were involved in drugs but Carlo Gambino would not have associated with drugs or drug dealing,he may have taken money that was made from it but thats about it.

Natale is full of himself and trying to cash in on being Merlino's Uncle Junior,the frontboss in name only to take the heat and the hit from law enforcement. The only ones that are going to read his book are people that do not know any better.

To highlight how asinine this story is we are supposed to believe that Carlo came down from ny where the books were closed to conduct personally with Bruno the making of this low level drug dealer, natale. Actually now that I'm thinking about did Carlo even make anybody? I thought the books were closed from 57 until Carlo stepped down and named Paul his successor
