Frank Russo is not a made guy but is with gene Gotti and goes to visit gene 4 of 5 x a year he is the owner of half of Howard beach lolol. Frank is respected in the neighborhood and by no means is a pussy, he don't take shit from nobody. Some of the made guys in the neighborhood don't like him cause he does not give big breaks for them when they have events at his spot, but he don't give a fuck if they come or they don't,he is close to couple powerful guys on the street now one is Tommy monk Sassano who over the years has gained power but was always a tough guy and very respected man amongst the families, and monk is very close to gene so that's the circle, frank is a businessman for sure but has connections if he wants

Anybody know who Frank Russo is? Possibly a made member? Back in the early 80's Joe Dogs Iannuzzi was assaulted by among others a Frank Russo that was an associate of Tommy Agro. Maybe it's the same guy.

The article does show the regard that Gene was held in. By then he had been away over 10 years and no longer had a top rank yet there were still several made guys visiting him.

Thanks SonnyBlackstein for the +1 on my post and your feelings that I summed up Gene's situation perfectedly. Tbone- you been drinking too much sumucca and perhaps hitting the blow a little heavily. Your'e heavy hitters are more concerned with irritable bowel syndrome than doing hits in their late 70's. Gene Gotti and for that matter- John Carneglia are both finito in the Gambino or any other family now! The Gambino's are pretty much turning into a glorified street gang now. Tbone lay off the artificial stimulants you're using and start paying attention the NYNighthawk for direction and advice about the "life"!

Yea those guys have long memories especially when your last name is Gotti. My money would be on them waiting for him to get out then hit him with charges. Who's left that could testify. Massino and Vitale ?

Sometimes they wait until just before a guy is due to be released to hit them with new charges. There was a period a while back where they were doing that a lot. Though honestly I don't see it happening now. He has been in so long they probably forgot about him. :lol:


Though I should add that back in the early 2002/3 it was reported that Gene Gotti still had a big loansharking book on the street and that he was being considered for Consiglieri (even though he had been away about 15 years by that point with another 15 to go). So he was still very much involved back. Who knows now?

Yep Sam if he was in on the conspiracy on the 3-capos they probably could go after him, but I think they already would have though if they were going to. Would make no sense letting him out then going after him as they could have went after him anyways while locked up.

Like has been said, no way Gotti is coming out of the pen and take over at any time. At this point he wants freedom and now that he'll have it he'll live out how ever many years he has left and live as a senior citizen. I think he could care less at this point about mob life. Too much has changed and 30 years in the can will change an old man on his last chance.
